Being a Leeds Fan, I like nothing more than to see these two troublemakers get stick...

However, Bowyer was cleared of all charges, whilst Woodgate was guilty as charged.

If he didn't do anything wrong on this occasion, why should he be trated with such hostility. Surely he hasn't used up any of his chances by doign nothigng illegal?

He's still a scumbag though

1 chance :---"There had already been signs of trouble early on in Bowyer's fledgling career when he was one of the first players to fall foul of the FA's "drugs-busters" when he failed a training ground test for cannabis in March 1994. "

2 chance-Bowyer - "then the nation's most expensive teenage footballer - was caught on video throwing chairs at two Asian staff at the drive-in fast-food outlet in the Isle of Dogs, east London in 1996. "

He was 19 at the time and had just been transferred from Charlton Athletic to Leeds for £3.5 m. Thames Magistrates Court heard how Bowyer and two friends arrived at the McDonald's in Trafalgar Way at 6am and after an argument over the menu rushed in and started throwing chairs. Two members of staff were injured in the attack.

Shamsu Mia suffered a bruised head and cuts and grazes and Mizam Hannan suffered bruising and a cut on his scalp which needed five stitches.

The three attackers were "clearly drunk", according to police.

Bowyer admitted affray, was fined £4,500 and ordered to pay £175 to the two victims.

Leeds United also fined Bowyer £4,000 and warned him that a repetition could result in his being sold. Magistrates told the footballer they had nearly jailed him for his part in he "disgraceful incident".

Even without this form, his acquittal in the Sarfraz Najeib case clearly does not tell the whole of that story. Blood was found on his jacket, he told the police a series of lies, and the judge made him pay a huge sum in costs despite being cleared of all charges.

Or Bowyers's former girlfriend who says that she was dumped because "you know, we could have a brown baby. It could be the colour of your mum"

How about the footballing incidents ???

In February last season, he was banned for six games after being found guilty of elbowing Liverpool midfielder Gary McAllister and swearing at referee Jeff Winter in a match against Arsenal.

The stamping against Malaga

I say Bowyer has used his Chances

I agree, Bowyer was found not guilty but......

As Spurs fan, I am keen for the club to sign some better quality players. However, when it was mooted that Bowyer might be coming to the Lane my reaction was one of disgust followed up by relief that he joined West Ham.

OK - Points well taken Urchino... As stated already - I don't like the bloke, and perhaps the stress of my argument was slightly misconstrued/badly written.

The point I was trying to get across, was that Woodgate should have got an equally bad reception for his part in the attack, instead he has been glorified in a £9 million transfer... I may be incorrect, but i believe he is being investigated for another incident in Newcastle since his trandfer?
