Agree with you Chris - not much of a slope and what looked like a very good playing surface, particularly for the time of year and weather we've had.

Tight, hard-fought game. One thing that bothered me was the quality of crossing into the box. Too many 'scooped' in with too much height rather than whipped in. Easy for their keeper and defenders to deal with. Also time to only use Lacey's long throw occasionally - it just isn't getting us goals.

CHRIS 1 ...They used to groundshare with Northwood (ground at the end of a long path from the road ,next to a cemetary). The ground last night used to belong to Ruilsip Manor FC, but they folded leaving a 'spare' ground in the vicinity, which was ideal for the then homeless Stones.

Being in a built up area I was amused by the sign that said 'car park full' the sign was almost as big as the 'car park' which seemed to have room for the visitors coach and about half a dozen cars.

Unlucky lads - probably just a step too far last night. Still, they've done so well to even get us in this position. The fact that we went 9 unbeaten and were still in a relegation dogfight highlights some of the obvious mismanagement from earlier in the season. Personally think we need 7 points out of the last three games to give ourselves a chance of staying up. Going to be a real tough ask, but one I'm sure the lads and IOC are more than capable of.
