The ground can make a huge difference. If the wicket is flat, hard and with few narrow cracks there's a greater chance of more runs. Large cracks, a little damp and maybe even uneven and you've got a bowlers wicket - fewer runs. Apparently this wicket has kept quite well so runs should be easier to come by (though obviously we are still talking about England here).
