Ricay 2 Hornchurch 0

Recommended Posts

That is probably the most p1ssed off i have been at a hornchurch game for a long time.

Make no mistake, that is the worst Ricay side i have seen for 5 years but fair play to them, they got the points.

We missed 4 glorious chances in the first half and although we had all the possession in the 2nd half we didn't really look like breaking them down.

On another point,i know some of the fans are annoyed with a couple of players but in all honesty, getting on their back while they are on the pitch is hardly going to help the team on the day, surely it isn't going to make them play any better, they are picked in the team and we need to get behind all the players otherwise we will only have ourselves to blame when such players confidence hits rock bottom.

Thought the vocal support was good first half but as the game went on and we were being frustrated by ourselves as much as ricay we went quiet.

Thought dormer played well, spencer as well and bechet, styles looked his usual combative self but apart from that there were too many stray passes

Results around us didn't go too bad so we are not out of it yet but we must start winning a couple of games on the trot at least.

I must add that our injury list has obviously played a part this season

Purdie (long term)

Janners (long term but hopefully back soon)

Flack (out for few weeks)

John hunt(long term)

thommo (suspended for 2 games)

fletcher taken off today

add that to the loss of parker, lee, gray

goodfellow who retired and i am sure a couple of others then are we really doing that bad

Still done enough to win the game comfortably

Thought we played very well in the first half. Shame the shots that hit the post and the bar several times throught out the first half didnt go in as it would have been a totaly different story.

Thought the wrong player was substitued at the begining of the second half. While the "weaker" player was left on....

Basicly think that it was our game for the taking, but we blew it and also blew our chance of a play off place.

We played well but we didn't put the ball in the net in the first half, which we needed to do as we knew Billericay would come on strong later on.

I think that Abraham was substituted because of fitness as Ross Wall can play a full match. I think that Ross has become more of a threat and now needs to start scoring goals.

I disagree that we blew the game today as we never scored in the first place! Play-offs are still possible but we need to go on a winning run now starting on saturday.

My feeling is that we have 5 games left,3 at home, win our home game and take 4 points from our away games including winning at borehamwood then we will make the play offs.

If we get to the play offs is there really any team in there who we can't beat, answer no.

if ever there was a day to pay for all those missed chances then this was it we paid the penalty ,literally with all the woodwork hit, great saves and goalmouth scrambles, this on the whole was a very entertaining game and a good advert for the ryman prem, good attendance too

The first half is where we should of won the game.i don't think anyone went in at half time expecting us to lose the game,it seemed like the goal was going to come as we were creating good chances.

But second half we didn't seem as composed and certainly didn't really look too threatening although we must of had 60% possesion

What do you think Ross has become more of a threat at?? Can't be anything to do with football!

Bit harsh. Would have scored a couple of great goals against Tooting and Ashford if it weren't for a couple of terrific saves.
