Well that was a poor game of football to watch and when Harlow pegged one back my mind went back to the GWR away game. Still, 3 points is what we wanted. All credit to the Harlow fans. They will finish bottom but sang away for the whole game. "Ryman league is upsode down" was a classic. Great ground too and good to se the kids entertained with an Easter Egg hunt. Eden had a great time.

We've played better and lost. We deserved our win however but did just enough for the 3pts. Harlow were poor today but gave it a good go with the players they had out there.

 

If my calculations are correct a win v's Malden Town on Thursday evening (8th of April KO 7.45) will confirm our spot in this season's play off's and catapult us up to third place with a game in hand.

 

The management team and squad have done wonderfully well upto now so lets get to Thursday's game and see us over the Play off finishing line. The other teams left in it are Concord (who will finish 2nd) Wingate and Finchley (who we play at home last game of the season) and East Thurrock who tonked us 4-0 at our home ground earlier in the season.

 

What do you guy's think is best to finish 3rd 4th or 5th??????????????

A win at what appeared to be half pace, but a win all the same, more of the same against Maldon would be welcome.

As for the play offs don't think it matters who we face as I believe it will be very tight & wouldn't like to call who will progress but lets hope we make the final this time, does anyone know where the final will be held? I was thinking Lowestoft would be a good place!!!!!!!!!

We have to keep going and ensure we finish at least third.

 

On our way there we have to beat W & F in the last game of the league season. If we do that it means that we are likely to have home advantage against either w & F or ETU. W & F have the best home record in the league and I dont think that is an accident. Their pitch is almost like a bowling green which must be an advantage over many sides where teams have to play on cow pastures. I beleive we can beat either W & F or ETU at home but will struggle away.

 

If we get to the play off final it is likely to be a difficult tie against Concorde Rangers however last year WA beat ETU in one of the most surprising results of the season. ETU had led the table for most of the season but were overturned in the last game by Aveley and then lost to WA.

What will be Harlows fate if they finish in the bottom two?Can't believe they'll drop into the Essex Senior although i'd imagine the league would welcome them with open arms.
