MFC vs Bognor Regis Town

Frustrating day really and Bognor will have been delighted to come away with a point. Evenish first 45 but most of the second period was played in their half and we had their jittery defence under the cosh for long spells but just could not find the winner.

just could,nt seem to break them down today. The back four were big but were also crap, Pinns ran his heart out but we were lacking in midfield. In the second half I would say the best of our players were in the back four. It was a really good move for our goal with Cooper playiing one back to Turner for a real hoof up and Pinns scored. I suppose we have to be happy with a point.

A very similar game,nearly identical in fact to the Carshalton at home fixture where we struggled to get out of first gear,went behind & managed to get back on level terms without really looking like getting a winner. Few efforts both ends all game & generally a dissappointing match as far as we are concerned. HOWEVER we managed to make up for it next time with an unbelievable 1-0 victory away to Dartford & then to beat Carshalton away so who knows,away to Tonbidge on Monday might,just might, see us give a similar away performance to make up for it. Having said that two games in 3 days for us might just take its toll whereas Tonbridge had a day off yesterday & will be a lot fresher.

Okay we move into an 8 game unbeaten run but another 2 valuable points dropped nevertheless but hey even getting a point I suppose when not playing well has to be something at this stage of the season.

We are still looking for results to go our way elsewhere & that would be a great help but reliance on that shouldnt have been necessary in all honesty. Still, we move on so Good luck on Monday chaps & do another Dartford.
