On the subject of where we are to play ?

I personally can not fathom out what or when or how we are going to play at home or windsor at the moment ! if you go by the article in the local's this weekend !

Why don't we raise the rent for next season ourselves ? and make a payment to Alan Thorne so we can continue at Wexham Park ?

Can we do it ?? come on supporters and the town's industies...pledge your money to STSA and we will pay the past and forthcoming rent....

just an idea....

I will start by pleding 100 pounds ! who's next....only 49,900 pounds to go !!

Come on Slough Observer & Slough Express carry the story next week and lets get the town behind us !! we need to survive.....

cheers chris....

Chris, I would pledge to the above, but am fed up with my money bailing out Martyn Deaner. If on the other hand, the rent were to be paid and the club to be put into STSA or STST control, then that's another matter.

I get the impression from many of the recent postings, that many others would also feel this way.

More concerning is the notice which has been put up at Wexham Park as of last night clearly stating from Alan Thorne, that the money is still owed from FRUS for the rent and as a result, no football related staff will have access to the site from midnight of 31st July. A great shame.

Following the notice re Wexham Park and the comments from the Windsor Chairman, you have to say that if Martyn Deaner is trying to play some sort of positioning game with either the Thorne's, Windsor or the Council, then he's making a f***ing crap job of it.

If we're not careful we'll not even end up with Windsor as an option. And he wonders why he gets such a bad press?!

Thats fine everyone....thats your choice...but

it is our club at the end of the day..and we will be left to pick up the pieces but we may well have no where to play too....

I agree with Gary....too.....just one of those things ...I just thought it may help us to do a deal with Alan Thorne ...to just show willing...

but if you against the idea...all very well...

cheers chris

enjoy the game at Northwood it may be one of the last...

Chris, I'm quite happy to pledge money to the cause, but whilst Martyn is running it, he should be able to deal with it.

He's promised a supporters rep on the board many moons ago. If we even had that slight voice of reason in his world of madness, then I might be happy to pledge.

I'll save the money to donate to the trust where I know it will be spent more wisely.

OK, picture the scene. Even if we do cover Martyn's debts for the rent, what thanks will we get from him for it? It wouldn't even guarantee that we could play there next season. If we pay that, who is going to pay Peter Simpsons cancellation payment? Us again? It's a very bad trend to start Chris.

As I say, if the club was run by supporters or the trust and the money had to be raised, you'd have the majority of people on here willing to help out financially and physically.

What credibility can Deaner have left if on the one hand he's talking about a multi-million pound development then on the other asking for an extra couple of weeks to pay £22,500 to Windsor?

Sorry Chris but I agree with Gary and Roger. If we bail Deaner out then he'll just be sitting there laughing at us. If we were to contribue towards these costs in exchange for us regaining control of the club then that's something different and I'd be prepared to cough up and I'm sure others would too.

Deaner said that the move to Windsor would stop the club being in the middle of the dispute yet it sounds like that's exactly what he's doing with the supporters.

Deaner is taking us all for a ride he will disapear with our name and leave us to rot while he sits back and laughs at what is happening to our club the sooner we get rid of him the better i have to agree with gary the only way forward is a supporters trust thats the only way i would contribute deaner lifes on cloud cookoo land and is willing to let the club die. ITS TIME TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED LETS GET THE BALL ROLLING.

Just sounding your feelings !!! Its because we are only weeks away from having all the rules and ISP signed for our trust..

In fact Today I have received back from the solicitors our final draft for the rules of the new trust...these have to be signed by the Three !

Mike Lightfoot

Alan Harding and myself...

Supporters Direct have appointed a marketing manager to us and we will look for the launch of Slough Town Supporters Association Limited

trading as Slough Town Supporters Trust.

The reason I have rattled the cage is that we will need simliar pleges to our trust !

and plenty of money too with comitment from all our supporters not just the few !

As I an stated time to stand up and be counted...

Now ...

Cheers Chris

All members will be required to be nominated and voted on by the members ...

so now is the time to stand for the new organisation...

send your applications to me in writing with a seconder

cheers chris

Oh dear everyone! this is exactly how lack of information feeds the minds of sceptics.

If anyone on here thinks that a few pounds from half a dozen forum poster's would sustain a football club at a reasonable level-well then I'm in the company of fools-well meaning but none the less fools. The only way forward is Mr Deaner or some such similar rich man.

And I would like to add if the club goes to the wall-the sole blame lies at the door of the Thornes.

Sceptics we are ..... promises from the day Alan Thorne arrived to the council promising us the earth ...martin deaner arrived ....

The trust maybe the only way ! and we will have to cut our cloth to suit our budgets...

playing sunday mornings on a park pitch ...we should just about manage that ....

if it is to be so be it.....

It's a difficult one. I agree with what others say - Deaner, although he saved the club has a lot of money to pay off it seems and has got us into a big hole.

But then again if it is not paid off then no STFC. Why not try and raise the money to play at Windsor & Eton through the trust rather than pay the money for Wexham Park - get rid of Deaner and run the club on a strict budget. I'm sure we could get local businesses to help like Lakes and Bernard Devine's company as well as others and donations from others. Then while we are doing this all the time we could be looking for a new backer?

Just an idea - but something has to be done and we need to get STFC out of the hole it's in.

Do not pledge a penny to anything where Deaner has control.

Could he not be forced out by... suppose the trust was able to secure a short term mini lease - 3 years??? on very favourable terms from Alan Thorne, payable monthly, subject to Deaner having NO connection with STFC. Yeah, its the Thornes but they can hardly be happy with the situation.

What would be worth knowing is exactly how much REAL money Deaner has put into STFC to have so much total control to create mayhem. If the gate money, programme sales etc, money put up by STSA etc to pay for things, was taken off, how much per week over 5 years has he actually put in?
