Uxbridge rearranged

The Uxbridge away fixture due to take place on Easter Monday has now been rearranged for Thursday 15th April ko 7.45 as Uxbridge have their Middx Senior Cup Final on Easter Monday instead.

Given the weather we've had this season it’s a small miracle that this is the only Thursday game we've got.

 

Spare a thought for VTFC. They have 15 games (including a 2 leg league cup final) to fit in between now and April 24th. They already have to play 2 games in 2 days against Taunton & Bridgwater in a couple of weeks and with their game being postponed last night they are going to have to do that again at some stage to fit another rearranged game in.

It also gives us the advantage of Totton playing on the Monday and Wednesday before they play us whilst we get time to 'rest'!

As usual this just makes a mockery of all the empty tuesday evenings we have before xmas. Scotty getting a game brought forward (and us winning it) could be a key point in the season, and showed a manager with a bit of forethought.

 

Imagine someone telling Fergie or Wenger that they had to play a fixture list as congested as that, it just wouldn't happen. But here we have players who have a full time job and (in some instances) a family to fit inwhilst being expected to play 2 or three times a week, I feel it shows a great deal of dedication.

 

As for Tottton, if the game build up hampers them and helps us well so be it, no arguments this end.

I do hope the Middx Senior Cup Final tickets dont sell out! Why oh Why cant the men in suits wait until after the season/play offs like the B&B lot do. How much is the fine not to bother with county cup? If its what i've heard i suggest we dont bother .Total waste of time.
