Real reason for Hull friendly being cancelled?

Recommended Posts

TAYLOR'S CROCODILE SHOCK:

Former England coach Peter Taylor introduced a hot new training concept.

The Hull gaffer cancelled a friendly against non-league Gravesend in favour of a trip to see Elton John live.

Taylor said '' I honestly think that will do us a lot more good than playing Gravesend.''

Cheeky sod.....

I tell yer, - watch them Hull lot, they're really funny, I mean funny buggers! A definate celebration to 'inter-bread culture'. Due to their eastern most placing in Yorkshire.

Peter Taylor has been there long enough to be asking "werres mi larrrkla weeerk sheeert? (translated: where is my lilac work shirt?

So, I tell yer - anything can happen! - tee hee!

Sorry Daz this is utter rubbish!

Radio London have been phoning round anyone even remotely associated with the club to get them to confirm this story.

When they were told that the match jad been cancelled two months ago because we couldn't agree on the date they went away again.

Maybe it's related to the fact that the BBC was still showing the match as being on last week, although the announcement that it was off was on the messageboard on 18th May.

Still there is always someone gullible enough to pass it on.

Hence the '?' in the thread title.

The quote was from a fax I received from somebody at work - apparently it was in one of the national papers.

Merely a quote and an enquiry as to whether there was any truth.....
