CRY HAVOC AND LET SLIP THE DOGS OF WAR !!

I had several calls from people who were there from both Margate and Dartford and their opinions and reactions could'nt have been more diverse. It would appear from Darts pov that we went there to shut up shop and try our luck on the break. Viewed of course as very negative by them and they are seething at our luck and the bad officials that helped the result(in their opinion naturally). Then there is IOC and the Gate lads opinions that totally contradict, as you would expect, all of the wingeing from Dartford.

I chose the wrong night and game to miss, probably for the whole of the season, and I would like to say bloody well done to the team for a monumental effort and result against the odds and the same to the supporters who went last night. I am still buzzing this morning and am so pleased for all concerned.

As the topic title suggests this is now a battle that the Gate TROOPS can win and I for one would love to be part of the celebrations at the end of the season when we stay up, and make no mistake...................stay up we will !!

:yay: :yay: You missed a fantastic night Ronks, , goalie tipped onto bar in first minute from Jay, we had 2 efforts from Sam Jones end of first half that could have both gone in with more luck.

Second half after Pinns scored, and Darts blaming lino for offside when Huggins was but not interfering but no way was Pinnock. Your lad then had a superb volley that hit the wrong side of the post. Huggins and Pinns got through a few more times and only last ditch defending saved them. Most of their chances consisted of long balls trying to bully our defence. Shots from lang range. Only time they really pushed us was last 5 mins or so forcing several corners and free kicks. Oh yes and a chance early on in first half which flashed across goal.

Yes they did have a greater amount of possession but in fact did little with it. IMO very sore losers.

Well i was proud to be there. Quite simply Margate wanted it more and they deservered the 3 points. In fact if they had come away with a draw, i bet all those Margate supporters who were there would have felt very grieved.

But we didnt we won the ruddy game and lets celebrate a great victory
