Our boys played ok but thought we had most of the chances in the second half but just couldn't score. Thomas needs to be confident in the skills that he has. The sad thing for us behind the anvey goal (can't use the C word) were the 4 little shits on the left who enticed the away crowd many times and then ran off to the steward when we responded....... Can I say run, it was more like a waddle - no wonder they never run out of chips.

Did not like anvey's number 3 who was a real James Blunt and waived and stuck his figners up at us when he got a so called fail. MOM - my [****!!****]. More like heat (can't use the c word) of the match. COYB, that's another point for us. Yet again our away supporters were LOUD AND PROUD! Well done all.

Totally agree about Cohen getting Man of the Match - a joke decision. The two best players for either side were the centre backs, Chris Moore for us and Bobby Aisien for you - both had the opposition attackers in their pockets all night.

Awful game of football between two sides happy with a point. You gave it a go in the last 20 minutes, but apart from that it was as bad a game of football as I have seen.

As for your support being loud and proud, you should be a spin doctor kt@btfc!!!

Oh well, bragging rights stay with you for this season, roll on next year :)

It was looked at as a wind up for those of us who as BIllericay supporters that saw his cynical tackle on Danny Green and then his cynical play acting when Green went for the ball (albeit a tab high). If that was the case, it's obvious that someone at C****y who makes these decisions is willing to even short change the other players as well as it's home support for winding up the "Ould Enemy". Shame, really, because, if it had to go to a Canvey player, Chris Moore was a giant last night for Canvey and was the main reason we didn't score.

Really, the first half was poor from both sides but if that was as bad a game of football you have seen, then you must've gone home for the second half (like so many of your support did at New Lodge earlier this season...arf, arf). Whereas I don't expect you to praise a Billericay performance, all the second half lacked was goals for the away team, such was 'Ricay's dominance. In fact, the performance from C****y last night was as poor as I have seen for a long time and only proves that, should Chris Moore had been playing when we spanked you 4 -1 at Xmas, the score line may have been reduced.

As for our support? Well, when you take your ear plugs out, the green stuff dripping from your ear isn't necessarily wax.

Well done to the Blues (Whites?) last night. Another good performance (albeit in the second half). From the recent 3 game tour of the Ryman League we got 5 points from 9. A win last night would've been great but hey, you an't have everything. We have still a lot to do to get ourselves safe and it's all in our hands. Our away record is now better than our home record and that needs to change...starting from this Saturday against Cray....

...and wouldn't it be nice if all the home support had the same attitude at home as the away support has had away (?)....every man, woman and child get behind the players and the manager....because, over the last three games, it really did make a difference!!!

To quote Rob Mason..."encourage, encourage, encourage..."

Once again...well done.

Defo point gained away from home. I actually thought it was one way traffic for the majority of the second half, and if Thomas had shown a little more greed we may have sneaked it. Not the greatest of games but once again no goals conceded. Not sure why the fans of canvey were laying into Wareham all night though..Agree the no. 3 for canvey was imo what is so wrong about football..Blatant attempt at achieving a sending off and this sort of thing is just not right.

Morrow was outstanding for them at the back but we did play into his hands at times. However, the conviction of our team was there and we were getting stronger and stronger as the second half wore on. Unfourtunately our only problem is hitting the back of the net..Having said that we did !!! was it offside when their goalkeeper played the ball ? i lose track of the rules ! :)

Well done to the players...Now come on lets go and rip into Cray on Saturday.

The least said about the first half the better! :( The only highlight of the first 45 minutes was that old dear ‘limbering up’ in her garage across the road! :)

Thought we bossed the second half and probably/maybe should have won the game. Mooro was immense for them and was the number 1 reason why we didn’t score.

That was my first look at Asien and I was very impressed with him. Definitely the type of player we need to keep hold of next season.

I don’t get to many away games these days so it was nice to once again experience the wholehearted encouragement the team gets on the road. Even when things go wrong the travelling support generally doesn’t get on the players back. It would be nice if the whole of New Lodge could adapt that attitude for home games rather than the current ‘Grumpy Old Men’ approach some currently take.

All in all, its been a great week on the road for the Blues. 3 games, 2 draws and 1 win. We’ve got 2 big home games now and victories in both of these could all but secure our Premier Division status.

I think the players have got to take the encouragement the away support has shown them and ignore those that (apparently) have no patience at home. Difficult to do but if they do that, they'll show those doubters what results in getting behind a team and supporting them can reap.

I agree with a lot of the above. The first half was forgotten as soon as the ref blew his whistle for half time. Second half was better and of the two sides the whites looked the more likely to win it.

A little bit more confidence and conviction in front of goal is needed, but overall another point gained.

COYB.

(Fast forwards to the second half!)

A better second 45. Green hit the bar, Charge goal ruled offside(?) and Thomas could/should've done better when he found himself in decent positions. There was only one team in it and I can't believe C*****'s total lack of ambition to go for it considering they had nothing to lose. In fact I can't think of one single sniff at goal they had (considering as well that Nichols quite clearly had a problem). Overall a point gained and a point nearer to safety, and of course we can large it over of them!

After the Margate game, these 3 away games looked like they could make or break us, so credit to the players for pulling thru with 5 points and zero goals conceded. Also credit to Statham for shuffling the pack on each occasion because of injury or suspension and for bringing in the likes of Aisien, McDonald and now Haswell. We're not safe yet, but the challenge I would set to the side is to go the rest of the season unbeaten.

(considering as well that Nichols quite clearly had a problem).

Yes, Nichols obviously had a problem as he was not attempting any kicks during second half - Do we know what he has done ? And if he is struggling do we have an immediate option on recalling Walker for cover. On the topic of Nichols i would like to say that he has often been a thorn against us in seasons past (with those annoying antics) :) but he sure is a decent keeper and i have to say i am pleased he is with us too and looks to be enjoying himself.

Now for the funny bit.....In training can we have a session devoted to delivering a ball from a free kick :) BOTH teams last night were a tad out with their freekicks.

I enjoyed last night and a final shout out to Umbrella man (who inceidentally gave the funniest quip of the night) "Oi you mugs i've come 5000 miles to watch this" - Anyone who knows him and "how" he says it will know how funny he is and all in jest ! Cheers mate.

And to re-iterate comments above....The support and encouragement to the team shows the fans are behind them.

I looking forward to Saturday as i think i can also make it too !!! Yay !!!

At times this season we have gained a point but it would be hard to say they were good points; last night was most definitely a good point.

After the high intensity and energy sapping conditions of Saturday I wasn’t surprised that we played in spells and were flat at times. But having said that, we were still the better side,( all Nico had to do was be our ball boy ) we dominated the second half, played good football but failed to convert any of our good chance’s. ( Lets hope we’re saving them for Saturday)

I was pleased to see Matt Hall take to the pitch, We’ve missed the option of having him available imo, (12 starts 5 wins and 4 draws) A Billericay boy as well!!

Well done lads, another fine performance (team & Supporters)and a well deserved point. :applaus: :applaus:

Yeah, the motm award was a bit random, I too thought Chris Moore was outstanding for them.

Right, on to Saturday, I think this is going to be a tough game, they will be very keen to avenge the defeat we inflicted back on last years V weekend . They’ve found a bit of form of late and must fancy their chances.

A loud and proud home support will help our lads to keep the intensity and tempo high, which is what we’ll need throughout the 90 if we are to gain anything from this game.

Must agree with the above post's.

Not being one to shy away from admissions i take my hat of to the captain last night i think he put in a top performance over the last two games and glad to see him leading his team. applaus.gif

BS asked us to be patient with him and he will turn it around. Well again fair play to him and his right hand man they seem to be very much keeping their word. applaus.gif

Saturday is a huge game (aren't they all) We really need to get behind the lad's both at games and on here.

Politely put KP.

Well the general consensous was that playing below sea level had a "buoyancy" effect on the ball resulting in the rising tides raising the ball toward land ! (well, that's the best anyone could come up with anyway Gazz)

All the same i still think some free kick paractice should be adhered to :)

only a spurs fan would be on a chat forum while their team was in a quater final of the fa cup

Oh but when I responded It was half time but the web would not accept my response.!!!!

I only had to press return - it wasn't that hard = even for a woman who had other tasks at hand :-)

In any case Billericay Town are my first team so they are always my priority! Dont' worry, I married a Hornchurch boy who was also a West Ham fan...... I soon sorted that out x 2. ;-)
