AWAY TRAVEL SUGGESTIONS

I enjoy the fact we have coaches and supporters who like to travel in goods numbers,if not smaller ones than in previous seasons like many other clubs.

After Saturdays incident i have been talking to a few people and wonder whether from next season we should go back to supporters only coaches.

The reason why is that even though i think saturdays incident has been maybe hyped up a bit and may of been made worse by the actions of stewards,who i am sure thought they were doing the right thing,it is obvious that drink was part of the reaction by a small number of our fans.

Maybe leaving as early as we do because of obvious reasons,means there is more opportunity for people to drink too much (myself obviously included).For a journey like Saturdays,if we had a supporters coach,then we wouldn't of left until maybe 12.30pm at the earliest,or are we just over reacting as it was only one incident.

Personally i don't mind what time we leave but maybe the situation needs to be reviewed.Saying that,we can only have coaches if they are well supported.

Maybe we can subsidise the coaches somewhat with the 50/50 and make the coaches a bit cheaper,or maybe we can get a deal from a coach company that makes it more attractive so we can fill the coaches again.

Saying that,at current prices,if we get 40 names for every trip then it will still be a decent price.

Any ideas anyone???

dont think there is anything wrong with the present rob burgess tours and i cant see us filling any supporters only coaches unless it's a big cup game but wot do i know i'm elderly

lol,i personally don't see anything wrong with the present situation,although i would like it to change simply because that would mean more fans want to travel

still dont think we would fill a coach in the present economic climate,a tenner is a snip,but dont get me wrong would love to see 50 urchins on every awayday coach,but it aint gonna happen for the forseeable future unless some fairy godmother waves a magic wand over our beloved club,wheres me slippers

probably right dave,but lets say the economic climate is better come august,the first few away games may go well,we may be flying in the league and the fans may want to start going again.

Maybe we can get a bit of sponsorship with a coach company in exchange for reduced rates

I think some fans might be put off by the early starts, but I agree with Urchinman, I don't think you'll get enough at the moment. It may change in the future. Sponsorship would be a good idea.

I know that a couple of people every trip are put off because of the early departure.

there are a lot of ex-regulars who don't do away games anymore.

Think we had 12 last night.

£10 is Ok for individuals, but not if you're a family.

Keep the chat to non-league/Hornchurch instead of Arsenal crap.

The idea of going by coach is to have a good drink.

I'd imagine that it's more difficult for some fans to get to away midweek games because of work commitments.
