Romford v's ETFC

Romford are a mixed bag and I guest most of you would say, thats Romford in general for you.

 

In footballing terms though they have beaten Concord at home and been stuffed by Brentwood in two of their more recent games, so I think a good solid team selection of stregth and power with desire and hunger will be required to gain 3 more valuable play off points. I'm sure we'll be in attendence by the droves again to encourage the boys to succeed.

It has all the makings of a great match. If Romford play like we did against Concord and GWR then you are in for a pretty torrid time,but if we play like we did against Brentwood it could be very different indeed.

Looking forward to a big crowd as Enfield always seem to have a large following of decent and well behaved supporters.

Come on coup's your views are actually very constructive and to the point.

 

I thought the atmosphere was great at a very good Aveley FC ground. Well compared to some of the sh1te we visit it was certainly up a notch (I know I know, Aveley are up a notch). The atmosphere was helped with some disastrous defending from us, some at times exquisite attacking play and the effortless energy the Romford team put in. There were error's aplomb and although in the end we could have had 8-9 goals Romford could have had 4-5 themselves. We wasted good opportunities to put the game to bed and instead were left without finger nails as Romford threatened with at times exciting counter attacks, being level til the 80th the score was'nt certain til the ref finally blew up having played 2 minutes injury time on the 5 mins he originally added. The ref was very weak and his assistants did'nt help with two poor offside decisions which would have given us a couple one v one's. Also why was marksy booked late on when shielding the ball in the corner late on??? Yep the ref was barmy.

 

It was also humerous listening to the stress';s of our bench with honest natural comments such as 'thats -ollocks ref' and 'your a ---k--- disgrace' I could'nt disagree with either view really. Hey Arky maybe new T-shirts with those quotes on them a bit like the Alan Hansen 'you'll win nothing with kids' quote.

 

A good 3pts as they all are and a couple more wins should see us through to confirming our play off participation, it'll be then trying to get home advantage for the Semi. Well done Del, Steve and Jason it's easy saying we should get to the play off's it's another one delivering it and your nearly their with 7 games to go.

If you watch the ref at times he will mime what the offence was when the player complains and for that he hinted at pulling back after he had lost the ball.

 

Perhaps he should have just kicked him up in the air though as violent play seems like a far less serious offence lately.

Don't you realise as has been said before. We dont have a problem with Cheshunt so stop trying to create one on your own. We have problems with Romford as they throw water at our players. We have problems with Leyton nuff said. We have problems with 1893 who I actually think live in a dream world well suited to Alien life forms.
