The play-off run-in

Make of it what you will:

On paper i'd say Chesham have the easiest run-in out of the three of us with our games pretty similar to Sutton's with them having more home games. But football's not won on paper as we know with some of the 'Big name players' we have been relegated from the Ryman league in the past!!

Looks set to go to the wire though.

Will be interesting to see what we do with our line up this week with another 3 games to be played by this time next week. Personally I think Bateman and Duncan did enough to be starting again in the next game. Hopefully we will have Sweeney and Buchanan back as well as Harper being fit for Tuesday but I'm guessing that all 3 of them being available is asking a bit too much. I, and I think many others behind the goal, would also like to see Jacko get a chance again after some poor performances by Perks recently. Not including the long term injured or MIA (Herron, Jordan, Fenton, Sealey, Hayes, Avis, etc - anyone know any updates on these btw, Herron especially) I would like us to line up against Barton like so (if everyone else IS fit);

GK - Jackson

RB - Sweeney (Seeby if injured)

LB - Jeffrey

CB - Harper (Yeboah if injured)

CB - Edgeworth

RM - Sinclair

LM - Murphy

CM - Bateman

CM - Duncan

ST - Sonner

ST - Buchanan (Sippetts if injured)

Herron has pretty much been ruled out due to a persistant knee/leg injury, Bateman said something along those lines in a recent programme. Jordan was work issues from the start of the season.

Both have been pretty much released and I wouldn't expect to see them in a Slough shirt anytime soon. Herron maybe next season.

Hayes is injured. The rest are dual registered, I would definately recall Seeley and play him on the left side though to move Murphy back to left-back.

I said at the start of the season looking at past league tables that it's possible to finish in the top 5 if you don't lose anymore than 10 league games, Slough have 2 games "to play with" as it looks like it will be the same case this season.

I think we may need another 24 points to secure a play-off spot. It will all come down to whose squad copes best with all the fixtures in quick succession. There are a couple of blocks of fixtures in that run in where you think we will pick up points. The huge games will be Bury and Burnham away and Hitchin at home.
