Tom
AFC Sudbury 0-0 Bedworth Barton Rovers 0-1 Burnham Biggleswade 1-1 Beaconsfield Bury 3-1 Stourport Swifts Leighton 1-2 Sutton Coldfield Town Marlow 1-1 Arlesey Town Rothwell 0-0 Hitchin (Abandoned on 89mins - result should stand) Woodford 1-0 Atherstone Not a nice set of results really. Sutton gain ground on Chesham and Slough whilst Burnham and Bury pull further away. Hitchin's result should stand given the game abandonment time. mal316
Hitchin's result should stand given the game abandonment time. Try telling that to Abingdon, or maybe it was Andover who a season or two ago were winning 3-0 in injury time and someone walks in the bar and said the game was over so they turned the lights off. They were made to replay the game and lost.
Ian
Beaconsfield's point at Biggleswade shows what a rubbish result ours was on Saturday.
Matt
A poor set of results. We must get back on track with six points from the next two games.
CheshFan
According to the Hitchin Forum, The League have decided due to the importance for Hitchin of the 3 points, that the game will be replayed on the 1st April (No Joke)
Mark44
Thats a joke! rules are rules. they are there for everyone. I am getting worried about sutton coldfield, especially as they have teams in the bottom 4 in their next 3 games
Rebel Yeller
Our next four games are against an average mid table side, two teams in the bottom three and a team which has plummetted like a stone down the league to the bottom six. If we cannot get ten points as an absolute minimum out of that lot then we are pretty much sunk and you could argue don't deserve a play off place. In reality twelve points should be what we should achieve. This is a crucial week and it is time for all players and management to wake up, smell the coffee, get cracking and get four wins ! Here's hoping we can rise to the occasion and the challenge.
Chris
IF we do make play-off's the challenge of Sutton may be to our advantage. Remember watching the play-off's last season when Diddy went into the play-off's only having just brushed aside the challenge of Thatcham (on the last day of the season) whereas the other two sides they played (Windsor & Totton) went into the play-off's having qualified about a month before-hand with no chance of winning the league. Diddy went into the matches with form whereas Windsor & Totton had to go from playing 'meaningless games' seeing out the season to 'competitive mode' in the play-off's which is hard. Sutton will push us and Chesham all the way. Edited March 18, 2010 by Chris
Matt
I agree with you on that Chris, but if we do make the playoffs we could well face Burnham, and I doubt they'd go easy on us! At this stage I'd very happily take 5th and a match away from home though.
