On Saturday 17th April at 12.30pm at Stag Meadow we will hold our very own World Cup Draw where we will place all the teams in one drum and all the names of the people entering in another drum and the draw will begin.

Here is what you can win

The person who picks out the World Cup Winners will win £100

The person who has the losing finalist will win £50

The person who's team score the most goals in the group stages will win £10

For those who pick out a team with no hope….

The two teams that concede the most goals in the group stage will win £20

And there is more...

The 4 teams beaten in the quarter finals will go into a draw and the team picked out that

person will win their £10 back

The two teams that are beaten Semi Finalists will go into a draw and the one picked out

that person will win their £10 back.

So do not delay give your £10 today.

See Michael Gegg or Dan Gomm if you would like to enter the draw.

Woah this is getting like the slough board with all this chat, oh no that can't be because you have been censored with the mods getting trigger happy locking any thread they don't like, just think when you come to stag meadow you will be able to watch colour TV too :brille008:

Windsorian: will they be showing the half time scores or the snooker though - last time it was snooker and darts - no football which is unusual for a football club

Maybe at a windsor game that would be feasible but we cannot attract the staff as they are so busy serving the hoards of Slough fans :P

Thirsty hordes, no doubt, drinking heavily to forget... (n.b. I think it's only Windsor Rebel who claims to have "hoards").

Anyway, I go to Stag Meadow for the live football, not the telly.

Dansilk: its always nice to check out the half/full time scores of the professional games on TV is it not? Most football clubs i have

been to show them.

and given the DTT STU is connected to a the TV by a scart lead - well it was last time i done this - which pulses a small electronic 'bolt' to the TV when STU goes off and on my advice would be to walk to the the TV, if the TV is on a non AV channel, ie channel 1, 2 etc and the STU is on, press the power off button on said STU, then press it again to power the STU on and if there is an arrow up/down which changes channels - unless it is already on Sky Sports News by default, which it will most likely be - then find and select channel 83 and the footy scores will be available on Jeff's Soccer Saturday and then it will all be good...

Appendix ~ DTT digital terrestrial television, AV audio/visual, STU set top unit.

he can't possibly be that person for two reasons

1 i actually understood some of what he was saying

and

2 They would never put a useful appendix at the bottom of the page just in case you may be confused
