Obviously a glimmer of optimism around.

 

Frankly, whilst the team now has the ability, i just think its too tough a call to get the points required to stave off relegation.

We need the rub of the green in every match-and 'luck' tends to even itself out.

 

What makes it tougher is that this season there is no one/two teams trailing off-and so i reckon the safety margin point requirement will be 53 points (usually around the 50 mark-so to me-that means 8 wins out of 11 games-just asking too much i am afraid-but so so hope i am wrong.

There are still plenty of points to be had. Try looking at the situation from another angle. When we win on Tuesday night irrespective of other scores we will move up to 20th position.

and then we've still got to play Carshalton twice.....

We're only three points from fourth bottom.

 

Points needed to finish fourth bottom: 2008/09 - 46.

2007/08 - 50.

2006/07 - 45.

2005/06 - 39.

On the basis that 4 teams are relegated (usually )-what use is fourth from bottom ?

Unusually you mean Michael, as said previously the 4th bottom has not been relegated for ages!

 

I know we shouldn't rely on that again but that is why it is imperative to at least get up to that spot.
