Conference 2 and how we get in....

Sorry I missed annual the pilgrimage to Great Wakering last night – family matters – but good to get a first win under our belt!

The criteria for Conference North South admittance for 2004/2005 has been published. All looks very involved, but basically seems to be, complete the full Ryman League Premier season, have a Ryman League Premier standard ground, be financially sound then finish 13th or above and you’re in!

Couple of things to note…

Clubs 14th – 20th and div 1 North and South champions can still get in after a play- off system. 1st place contested between clubs 14th, 17th, 18th, Div 1North and Div 1 South Champs, 2nd place between clubs 15th, 16th, 19th and 20th. Clubs 21st – 24th stand no chance.

To continue membership a new Conference Grade B ground will be required by 1st April 2005. This is where it could get interesting, since all being well we’ll be playing out our final season at New Lodge at this point, moving into our new Stadium for the start of 2005/2006 – assuming what I’ve heard about an 18th month build is correct and the development get the nod from the planning enquiry. Hopefully common sense will prevail, cause I can’t see the club spending and money on upgrading New Lodge, and we’ll have a Conf B Grade on a stadium nearing completion.

So the challenge to Justin is Top-half of the Ryman Premier Please, and remember we’re all behind you 100%

I should hope the new 'New Lodge' stadium will be more than just a Conference B grade ground!!!

Is this all for definate? Or are we waiting for the Ryman big-wigs to put thier sulking into legal proceedings?
