Steve Mcqueen was wearing a Margate shirt today (real name Leroy Huggins) Although I wasnt there I amongst many others stuck at home on their computers hanging on every thread of information coming from Bill & Ricay, was biting nails/chewing lips and kicking the dog (not really :) ) but you get the jist of what Im saying. On 90 minutes I was like many others praying for the ref to blow the whistle and let us come away with a valuable point, oh no that man Huggins wasnt finished, not by a long shot HE ONLY WENT AND SCORED AGAIN. The new theme tune should/must be the Great Escape on tuesday cos we all knew it was going to be a mountain to climb but at long last the lads have come together as a team and DONE US PROUD.....

2 down 6 more to go, can we..... can we really do this - I reckon the team think we CAN :)

I'm trying not to get carried away, but it's hard not to, so i'm going to say a win against Sutton then survival is a real possibility. Well done blues, another massive win. Please keep this up and remember we still have nothing to lose, so don't go into our remaining games afraid of a defeat. KEEP GOING BLUE BOYS!!!

A fantastic win today, I thought Leroy looked impressive on Tuesday and has started life here very well! Bring on Sutton United!!

A win against Sutton could put us just two points from safety. Who won't get carried away if that happens??

And you can listen to Iain's reaction with GATE RADIO. See the Match Report page.

Credit to all 10 of them. Everybody worked hard and we never looked a man down. Loads of skill, even on a dodgy pitch.

Huggins the hero, although it was a scrambled goal after good work by Jones. Icing on the cake though.

Saunder massive in midfield and ran the show, has to be MOM, but not to take away from other performances:

Turner 9, kept us in it with a lightning save. Good distribution. No chance with the penalty.

Lacy 8, solid, unlucky with the handball.

Stubbs 8, a typical Stubbs performance. Gave everything at left wingback (fullback after the sending-off)

Cooper 8, some solid defending after an early error nearly cost us.

Young 8, a quieter game than usual for Youngy but did what was asked.

Saunders 10, captain fantastic.

Barnes 8, top performance. Goes down a little easily sometimes, but generally managed to fool the ref.

Jones 9, fantastic dribbling skill scared the hell out of the oppo, and good in defence too.

Pinnock 9, worked tirelessly, great movement off the ball. Won the penalty.

Huggins 9, good in the air, in the right place for the winner. Deserves his own song: come on choir, get composing.

Total credit to the manager too. Whatever he is doing, it's working!

[edit: upped Cooper and Young, remembering that the team was a man down for most of the match]

Good to see so many positive remarks --- but dont listen to it on the radio --- the players cant hear you cheer from there --- get off your ar--s and get to the games. Essex it not the other side of the world.

I am stil buzzing after that display today. In the first half after JK got a red (down other end of the pitch so did not see it & cannot comment) we look ed like the team that had 11 and not 10. Unlucky not to go in at half time 1 up Jonesy had Nicholls beaten all ends up but shot just went wrong side of the post. Then Pinns was clearly pushed over by Nicholls at a corner by Mr MacKay did not see it even though he was looking right at it.

Second half 'ricay came out all guns blazing but then a brilliant through ball to Pinns resulted in Wild doing a Wild challange on him and the Mr Mackay had no option but to award the penalty. Why he did not show a red to Wild was beyond most of us as he was last man & Pinns was bearing down on goal. Up stepped Barnesy and slotted the penalty away. Then to even thins up the ball is aimed at Barnesy on the edge of the box by a 'ricay player who was all of 1 yard away from him. MaKay strkes again and to add insult to injury books Barnesy. Turne was sent wrong way 1-1. It was pretty even after that and non of us could believe 4 minutes of extra.

THEN UP STOOD LEROY A TAP IN FROM 6 INCHES OUT. Poor Leroy everbody in a white shirt remembered his name and had a big HUGGIN.

The smiles on the players faces as they cam off the pitch were magnificent.10 out of 10 to every player & sub (even Winkle & Wayne) today they all played thier parts.

6 WINS TO GO BELIEVE
