Who knows the answer.....Holmer Green only last season were a Prem club but would the distance between their changing rooms and ground pose a problem.

New Bradwell have spent money on new changing facilities which are now next to the pitch, however not having paying facilities would this be an issue, they are simple questions which no one appears to be able to give straight answers to.

Hadley and Crawley Green ground share, if this is not an issue then would assume this would be deemed okay, other than that guess it's a wait until next season's fixtures are posted!!! :smashfreakb:

Why would ground sharing be an issue regarding promotion?

Surely it is only an issue if they haven't ground shared this current season and find another ground just to be promoted?

Thanks for your interest and interestingly it is going very well. Several interesting possibilities, with lots of interest from teams showing us that they are interested in sharing with us, which is quite interesting considering the lack of interest of the league to look after the interests of their member clubs.

Out of interest, how many grounds is that now that you've played your home fixtures at?

May be the handbook, under home ground for Tokyngton Manor, should just say "No Fixed abode"! :97:

Special1 - I asked you a simple question however yet again that huge chip on your shoulder is evident. Tokyngton Manor want to be friends with your Club as was apparent when we happily released Pete Owen's registration last week so he could play for you on Saturday

Special1 it was just a simple opinion regards ground sharing, not an opinion where you need to throw your toys out of your pram

Just can't see why ground sharing is a dirty phrase when talking about promotion.

As long as ground sharing isn't temporary i.e. for half a season (like some teams get away with) and the team ground sharing has been at the ground for at least 1 season prior to promotion, and that the ground itself is a high enough grading, there should be no reason to look at that team with anything else but praise.

Can't stand this elitist snobbery that goes with teams that are 100 years old and who thanks to their predecessors are very fortunate to have their own patch!

PS No toys! Just a PS3. And I wouldn't throw that now, would I? lol

I could be wrong but I think this was due to Pete telling you what he wanted and you did as you were told promptly. Not so sure how happy you were.

As for Tokyngton Manor's reputation with extending their hand of friendship so that we could let our guard down to be blatantly rolled over last season, I personally have no interest in that happening. If that's what you do to your friends, you really don't need enemies! :smashfreakb:

Special1 - There's that chip again the size of the Grand Canyon. We had no problem whatsoever with releasing Pete Owen's registration but we could have been difficult and dragged our feet, said we had no forms or refused to do it altogether, we didn't get so much as a thank you for our efforts after I had e-mailed your Secretary last Wednesday

Special1...Ground sharing isn't a problem a s far as Im concerned, it's just that sometimes the powers to be who have probably never played football before come up with these rules and regulations just to be party poopers, like all these requirements a club has to meet nowadays just to get promotion....as I said in a thread which I think got removed, sorry if I stepped on someone's toes but I thought these sites were where we all could air our views as passionate lovers of the game, anyway if the powers to be carry on the way they do its only a matter of time before we see Leagues like this being made up of just 6 teams playing each other 10 times a season.

If a club through ground sharing was say fortunate enought to ground share at a decent ground then teams are not gonna moan, it's the privalige of playing there, ie Hadley playing at Potters Bar, not to be sniffed at, my point was you as a club ground share, everything is tickitie-boo then some pleb in his 1960's heyday comes out of the woodwork and says....'Teams who groundshare'...carry on Special1, fair play to any club who can gain status this way, just watch out for the killjoys, that's all I'm refering too.

Looking at your postings on this subject, you seem to have all the questions and yet stoically refuse to help yourself to find the answers, instead blaming all and sundry and especially The FA for all the problems in non-league world. Do clubs no longer have any responsonsibility at all for their own actions in this matter - or do you work for one of those 'no win, no fee, blame someone else' companies? The grading criteria are avaialble for all clubs to know all about.

You too can read the ground grading criteria to your hearts content (in word format) and by doing so answer all the questions that you keep posing. This link has been posted before, but here it is again.

Special1 - Why is that, a number of SSML Club's have buxom barmaids, your landlords included albeit only for another six weeks before you leave Coles Park

Who'd like a wager that, now that the drainage problem at Coles Park has been fixed, the SSML hierarchy will relent on the "no groundsharing" ruling?

Horace - I wouldn't be so sure about that, the SSML hierarchy as you describe them know Haringey Borough and, in particular, the hallowed Coles Park turf only too well

I expect common sense to prevail.

I also expect that the league will say that if they hadn't made the threat in the first place, Haringey would not have acted.

Either way, nothing would surprise me.

Special1 - You're the most cynical individual I have ever come across, Haringey Borough didn't have to offer Sport London e Benfica a groundshare at the eleventh, sorry, twelfth hour back in July, they merely took pity on you when you were searching high and low for a ground and did you a huge favour

Rhodesy dear boy, I really think there is nobody in the universe that Haringey pity more than you and I think you've missed my point entirely as usual. It looks as if it has gone over your head never to be seen again, just as if Peter Kay has kicked it into the sky and said those immortal words "Have it!"

So I'll explain it in terms you might understand...

I also expect that the league will say that if they hadn't made the threat in the first place, Haringey would not have acted.

Translated:

The league will say (and therefore, take the credit) that they made the threat, of not allowing any one to ground share at Coles Park next season, to get Haringey to do something about the ground. Not that personally SLB had a problem with it, as we have not been affected that much by any postponements.

Capiche?
