Incompetent referees

Recommended Posts

Yet again a referee turns up at the Brockwell and blatantley refuse to give Canvey clear fouls and decisions and then award decisions to the opposition for similar incidents with bookings to boot. I lost count last night the amount of fouls their number 5 committed against both Jay Curren and Jason Hallett, with a clear penalty denied in the 2nd half and not even a word said to the 5. This has happened time and time again and I am not asking for a ref to be homer, I just want consistency and a ref who doesnt want to be the star of the game. It was never a free kick that led to the equaliser (although saying that, our defending from that set peice was awful!!!), Gabs stole the ball with neat footwork only for the ref to see something no one else did! He was dreadful

He was so bad that his 2 Linos couldn't even stand to be in his company after the game.. Both left commenting how bad and arrogant he was, the guy was way out of his depth!

The so called foul he gave which created there equaliser was an absolute Joke! I hope we never see him at the Brockwell Stadium again!

This prat cost us 2 very valuable and deserved points!

Last night ref goes beyond incompetent, and yet again it costs us. I know other teams supporter looking at this will think we are looking through yellow and blue glasses but this is happening to often at the Brockwell. What i dont understand is why there is no complaints procedure to follow that highlights the officials

performance good or bad (although not seen many good ones). For him to put his finger to his mouth to tell the lino to be quiet when i think it was jc fouled in the box

for yet another penalty turned down just about sums him up as a person.... I AM THE REF AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.

And another thing, their so called officials blamed the ruck towards the end of the game where their no.9 got sent off as the fault of the canvey fans cos we were having a go at the ref, they also said we should have police present to sort us out!!!!!! TWAT get you own players in order cos they were not there to play football, last night for them was all about kicking the opposition into the stands and setting about our photographer £60.00 for a stool you must be having a laugh!!!!!!!

Forgot to add - bang on Steve! Thats exactly how it was and despite being Canvey through and through, I try to watch the game from a more neutral point of view to help me cover the game accurately. The ref was a self obsessed idiot of the highest order and the twat of a Harrow official who started throwing abuse around about our fans (he called us our fans 'idiots' amongst other things) was a provocative clown who then wouldn't listen to a reasoned argument as to why perhaps tempers were frayed. Disgusting behaviour from someone who had just watched his thugs (oops - sorry - team) grab an undeserved point. This ref has without a doubt DEFINITELY cost us 2 points. As pointed out in the bar afterwards his type of performance could cost Managers their jobs in relegation/promotion issues and/or cost clubs a lot of money.

A couple of points to note:

- The Referee was a complete prick!

- Had he got a grip from early on we would've been looking at a totally different scoreline.

- Their Goalkeeper was shit!

- The "attitude" of their players, particularly "The Bruvs" lies firmly with their Manager. An example of this is their No. 5, Tobi Jinadu. When he has visited the Brockwell in the past for other Clubs he has more often than not been the opposition's best player and someone I've really rated when I've seen him. Tuesday night he was just a thug! As were their No. 2 Richard Orlu and their No. 4 Wayne Walters.

- Walters should've walked in the first-half. He gave Jay Curran the most blatant elbow to the back of the neck I have ever seen. This went unpunished though and when Jay and he came together for a 50/50 ball, Jay was booked! Walters' injury was not a result of the tackle, but that his foot slipped off the top of the ball and he rolled his ankle.

- After their No. 9, Dewayne Clarke was booked the first time round, he was pulled over by his Manager who was gesturing at Mooro. I'm willing to bet the conversation went along the lines of: "Canvey's no.5 has been winning everything all night, I want you to take him out!" Which Clarke did and got sent off for his efforts.

- Their Officials were mugs. Goading the fans around them even before the game. It was mostly their Officials who were making the noise during the first-half. You don't see that at Earlsmead until the freeloaders have come in at half-time.

- Harrow Borough are the Ryman Premier definition of "Shit Ground, No Fans". We've known from past meetings that they tend to be draw specialists. Constantly in mid-table obscurity season after season, going no-where and one of the least attractive fixtures of the season.

Harrow have always been a tough and uncompromising team.

Even in the days when Kingy was our manager, they were a difficult side to beat. No idea how they've managed to stay in the Ryman Premier for so long considering the resources they have.
