All 11 on the park were good tonight. Effort and application in abundance. What a difference it makes to have two forwards up there that work their socks off and make intelliegent moves. Jay dominated, and Stubbs was terrific at wing back. All credit to the whole team tonight.

Just like to add the fellas seemed to want the ball more than than T&M and there was perhaps just a glimmer that this was that time everyones calling for,

Belief in themselves and the dire situation we as a club find ourselves in - cmon (was gonna say boys) fellas we CAN do this, one game/win does not make a season but it sure made ME smile today and thankyou for that

This could be a massive win for us, it could give us the confidence which has clearly been missing of late, although i think we need to win the next 2 games for us to start saying again we could stay up. Super all round performance, every single player gave 100%. Well done you guys.

It wasn't just the fact that the players gave 100% tonight, it was because we played FOOTBALL. The players played it on the ground and generally played it simple. Some of the passing was a joy to behold tonight, and the build up to the second goal was excellent. For those of you not there this rsult was not a fluke, we outplayed them tonight and i reckon in the second half we had 60/40% of the possession. The players were really up for this, and it showed when Stubbsy caught their player out on the goal line, crossed it and we struck the bar. That really would have been the icing on the cake. Considering Tooting are in the play off places we certailny matched them in all departments tonight. It certainly made my trip back to London on the train a much happier one!

At 6 pm, after being in bed ill all day I was not going tonight. Feel even rougher now but glad I went.

We were much the better side for most of the game and I cannot remember Turner having a save to make second half.

Sam Jones had his best game in a Margate shirt and there was no way Leroy had any right to win the header for the winner. How he got there before the 'keeper I will never know!

Wow what a contrast to Saturday. I can only echo everything that others have said.

Brilliant night & thoroughly deserved. I said prior to the game that we needed to raise our game 10 fold & Tooting have an off day for us to get something from this game. Well,we DID raise our game 10 fold but Tooting in truth didnt have an off day because they played well BUT we OUTPLAYED them in most departments.

A MASSIVE well done to I.O. & the players. Continue like this & there will be no more early exits from me.

Super Super Super effort from you all.Now for that consistency but this time a winning consistency.My feet are still firmly on the ground I can assure you & there's still an awful lot of work to be done however there is "live" hope now after this performance.

Mind you,as you say it is a very hard one to call.

 

Keister - did exceedingly well sweeping up at the back.

Stubbs - immense at full back. Up & down the flanks tirelessly.

Turner - brilliant save 1st half.

Saunders - a captains performance - never stopped running & tackling.

Huggins - improved the front line & well taken goal.Always in the right place & anticipated well.

Pinnock - held the ball up better on the night.

Barnes - got in amongst them & passed better.

Jones - running at them whenever possible & on many occasions successfully.Must have scared the **** out of their defenders at times. Again well taken headed goal.

Lacey - again up & down the flank & working hard.(Good to see his throws being used in more ways than one)

Young - Quietly going about his business with great determination & concentration

Copper - more solid than Saturday,did his part well at the back.

 

Yep its a hard one to call indeed...individually.
