4-3 does not reflect the game,we were 4-1 up and it should of been all over,we had missed a penalty, they should of had holmes sent off for what i thought was a shocking tackle on thommo, their number 2 was a plonker but good effort from their fans who did turn up en masse, easily 130 which considering the crowd on the night was a cracking effort, shame we beat them though lol

What a pleasant surprise this morning, well done to everybody. Sorry I missed it but my wife wasn't well, no honest, so thought I'd better show some sympathy.

Funny old game, we lose to Aveley who get hammered by Chelmsford and then we rise to the occasion....again.

Can we play Chelmsford more often?

Amidst all the understandable euphoria did anybody else notice we slipped a place in the league last night as Aveley won.at Waltham Abbey 2-0, still Horsham lost at Sutton so they may be ripe for the picking on Saturday. No excuses if we can't continue what we started last night.

Delighted with Hornchurch, can't pick out a player as they were all good.

Chelmsford looked rocky in defence especially at set pieces.

Thought we were the better side to be honest.

Hope Elliot recovers quickly.

Cup final to look forward to against league opposition. Any news on where it's going to be?

Edited by cup of tea

Can't imagine the locals at Victoria Road wanting anything other than a Colchester win.

First goals we've conceded in the competition. Three clean sheets until last night, are we slipping?
