TommyTT - Perhaps the Prodigal Son has returned to the fold, I know he he wasn't happy at Histon and then being loaned out to AFC Sudbury. I would call the scoreline at Cockfosters 'amazing'!

DIVISION ONE

Stony Stratford Town 5-0 New Bradwell St Peter

A brief report on this surprise result from another's Forum although this is usually the time of the season when New Bradwell St Peter fall apart:

SSML1

Stony Stratford Town 5 New Bradwell St. Peter 0 Att. 45 appx.

This wasn't in the script. New Bradwell went in to tonight's game top of the table, Stony have been shipping goals and have dropped to 16th. Bellhouse opened the scoring for Stony on 19 minutes, catching the defence on the hop and rounding the keeper. Coulter hit the bar for New Bradwell and Stony's no. 1 had to palm a couple of efforts over the bar. Right on half-time with the first real Stony pressure a rebound was prodded home to make it 2-0. A third on 57, against the run of play, and 2 other goals late on also on the break wrapped things up. Stony's keeper saved a penalty in the dying minutes.

Stony deserved to win but not by 5.

PREMIER DIVISION

St Margaretsbury 1-1 Brimsdown Rovers

A report on this predictable affair from another's Forum:

St Margaretsbury 1 Brimsdown Rovers 1

SSML Prem

Adm:£6.00 Inc Prog Att: 36

Cheeseburger £2.50 Tea 70p

A match that typified the teams respective places in the league (16th & 17th).Not to much difference between the teams. Two contentious 'goal' scoring opportunities. The home side were adamant that they had scored in the first half, when a powerful header struck the underside of the crossbar & then bounced onto the goal line & probably over, but the officials said no.Brimsdown then had an effort in the 57th minute over ruled ,when the keeper saved a well driven shot, which seemed to deflect into the net & then out through the side netting. From where i was standing it was hard to establish whether this had actually happened, but from the resulting corner they scored from a header anyway. The home side left it late to equalise.Again it was header from a corner deep into injury time, after sustained pressure from the home side.

St Margaretsbury Rec is quite a well appointed ground. As you enter the Rec, there is a floodlit training area on your right, with tennis courts behind. The cricket club is beyond this, with the ground at a lower elevation next to it.The pitch was in excellent condition.

Easy to travel to.St Margarets station is a 10 min walk away & if driving probably less than 10 miles from the M25 & just off the A10 south of Ware, next to the A414 to Harlow

Rhodes, Since the turn of the year we have won 9 out of 9 in all competitions, yes we lost badly but we will pick ourselves up dust ourselves down and move on. You cannot win every game.

He had returned ....... to watch at least. :coffee (2):

The crows were on fire, especially Ross Collins. He just did not stop running.

Newby67 - Not at all and anyway I have to be careful what I say as Tokyngton Manor are at the Recreation Ground on Saturday week, I may not be offered any of Mrs Haynes exceedingly good cake.

Ross Collins had a brief spell at Hertford, where he impressed me greatly, but the lure of the Crows money was just too much!

I see that Haringey Borough's amazing result last night just made tomorrow's Tottenham Journal, I'm surprised they didn't hold the front page:
