...be aware that there are engineering works on the c2c line tonight after 10pm. According to the timetable this means that the last train from Basildon to Upminster is at 21:49, after which there will be a special bus service between Pitsea and Barking stopping at all stations in between.

 

If you do travel up there by train please make sure you confirm the time of the last train back.

a simple instruction in finding the ground is to drive down cranes farm road then turn left at york international,then first left into gardiners lane south.its not 3.3 miles from the station only 2 at the most as the crow flies,but if you walk in the same direction as the crow flies this will involve walking through peoples back gardens so perhaps you better keep to the main road.if your walking from the station turn first left,then right,left,right,left,right walk down a cul de sac,stop when you come to a dead end,turn upside down jump over a couple of walls and then you should find yourself back at the station,from where you can phone a cab.

The alternative route would be to get the bus from Bas Vegas to Billericay station. Then train to Romford. Then get the pushmepullme to Upminster. Bit of a faff though!
