God whats all the fuss about and excitment about us signing more average players from Maidstone. What have Maidstone done this season SOD ALL, makes me laugh they are one of the few sides our bunch of Kent league players have beaten LAST year and then we go and sign them, what a joke id rather sign two quality players than draft in 4 or 5 cheap options just because Maidstone look in trouble.

About 5 places above us is your answer RB, a place I would love to be right now. Look on the Maidstone forum and most of their fans say Saunders, Turner, Barnes and Pinnock, if he comes, were their 4 best players this year.

And if you look a bit harder theres lots saying good riddence and their very average, over the hill im thinking. I wondered why you are so happy with us signing these Maidstone guys i remember you saying we have a good side with loads of quality, yeah for the Kent league we have. I dont want Margate FC to be blinkered a go for short term players after a new club, yes they are 5 places above us so it just proves they have found their level too not good enough so why would they be at Margate FC. The only player i would had signed and Margate couldnt even do that was that midfielder player from Ashford Town Middlesex and we couldnt even do that , from a club that has gate of 100 what does that say about the club. QUALITY NOT QUANTITY WILL WIN THROUGH!!!!

All these players we are getting in from Maidstone have seen better years we can't deny that but they still have something to offer & at an affordable price and ARE still above average players.A couple of them still have some blueblood in them (not Graeme) & enjoyed their times here previously.

Admittedly they left once or twice but they came back & I dont think it was for more money but for a regular wage at this late stage in the season. Its local for them too & Im sure they want to do their very best to help this club in its time of need.

Look,we are NOT going to win this league & we are NOT getting players in for that reason. We are getting them in to try & stave of relegation.

They have vasts amount of experience & could,& I repeat could, just have have enough in them to see us get out of this mess. It may not happen but its worth a crack.

I agree a higher class of player would be great but where do you get them from at this time in the season & despite what some might be thinking I can't imagine for one moment the club are forking out wads of cash on anyone let alone these Maidstone,now again Margate players.They simply don't have it!

They are here to help us survive & not to win the league.

Be realistic for goodness sake & just hope that all this wheeling & dealing, players in,players out can see us escape the position we are in right now. It's desperation time really & we need a quick fix but as I say there are no guarantees but the club have addressed the situation & doing their utmost to rectify it & within their means.

Its now down to the players to perform & for us to keep attending & supporting the players as well as giving our £9s to the club & THEN maybe the money will be available for the class of player/players you & most of us seek,in the future. The longer people stay away the longer it will be to get a successful side again.

Thats MY opinion.(in short )

I understand Cookie but people have had enough of the way the club is run and has been going, its not acceptable i want ALL of Margate fc changed, wheres the new ground nearly 3 relegations in 6 years people have had enough, same old faces and people pulling the strings, about time they all went and supporters can have THEIR club back again, not the shambles that is now. People dont wana come is not all about football its because whos running the club mate sorry thats a fact!!

Blimey Alan u agree at last u have seen the light and admitting this team isnt good enough before the Maidstone influx, i hate saying this wish we were all happy and supporters respected the club but they dont. If ya wife cheated on you or girlfriend 5 or 6 times would u go back NO just look at the attendances mate. My remedy get rid of the wife and start again lol.

For me-these days it seems at this level-ryman-the club is being run as well as it possibly can be.

 

Our problems at the moment are surelyon pitch-and yes-some of the managerial appmnts have not worked so the directors need to take responsibility for that-but overall-for me-currently the problems are 'on pitch' and not with the overall structure/way club is run.

 

i am sure many clubs in ryman are envious of our infrastructure(not good enough for conf south currently )but its ever improving off pitch-thats not where the current problem is.

Although we are getting in players now & discarding some in desperation this has been the case all season but without the desperation tag attached to it & i.m.o.not having a settled side earlier in the season has been the main reason we haven't been getting ANY positive results.

A lesson to be learnt I would say.

I didnt say the players were not good enough just that they have to believe in themselves more and if bringing experience in helps than I am all for it.

That hits the nail on the head. Belief is the bit of the jigsaw to address LB had a tremendous first touch strike at goal in the second half, tuesday the keeper did not save it,it hit him! more of that please.

have to be honest, this was exactly what i was thinkin, but i hope we have signed their better players and hopefully they will be good enough to win us a few games before the end of the season and save our embarassment.

These are definately their better players and many of their fans have been saying it, just read their forum. The others that have been saying differently are bitter and a probably looking at things from recent months where the players haven't been paid.

I have been biting my tongue for a while now, but the *** who started this whole thread has made my blood boil, 1. the club is finaly heading in the right direction. 2. has a very good manager in place GOOD experianced players coming in. 3. as stated at the last open forum the finances are now under control the club are selling sponsord games and im pretty sure there will be alot more people wanting to sponsor players. 4. the fans are starting to get behind the team. AND finaly the same old faces QUOTE with ref to the board wat a load of old S..t them old faces are working all the bloody hours sometimes 7days a week lately to get money into the club help the club and from wat has been said at the forum the debt has droped hugely. i dont know if your a fan of margate fc or just some *** who wants to stur things up. but i think you will find my old chum you are well off the mark in all your comments and if you had the balls to go up to keith or cliff im sure they would love to put you right in wat you say, but im sure your happy just sitting behind you key board. the club now needs support to push on in the final half of the season, not so called supporters slagging off the new sighnings and the board.. start getting behind the club and the club will be back to were it should be.. rant over..

The forum last thursday put a lot of my concerns to bed. I have to admit I was impressed with what I heard. When was the last time Realistic Blue watched a game? Does he or she want to answer that for me then we can decide how out of date his opinions are.

one way to help the club is to come to the race night. its not about money as much as the supporters getting together with the players manager and having a great night together. It also will give the people who are working to help the club through a show of support. 7-00 for 7-20 or stay on after the match.
