Curtis Robinson

I am Spartacus

Recommended Posts

I see Curtis has received a 3 match ban for his little (ahem) indiscretion last night.

Therefore, he misses Walthm Abbey (H) and Tooting (H) due to his yellow card collection. Then is available for selection for Billericay (a) but then misses Sutton (h), Carshalton (h) and Dartford (a) due to his Red card..

did no one notice the 2 great tackles in the first half when he was,by accident in his proper position and not the position he was forced to play in. best full back we have had since Greg Oates.

So who will play left back-we can't keep signing players surely ?

can either grant or Lacey play left back instead of on the right ?

Maybe haverson could play wider-he's quicker than wheatley

Then Morris-who never lets anyone down could play right back?

Have'nt heard much about Smiths progress recently -maybe another option ?

That all given; my money would be on Duncan slotting in at left back-don't have a clue if he has ever played there-but his positioniung is always good, keeps it simple, seems an 'intelligent' player , and has a 'fullbacks physique '-reckon he could do it with his eyes closed.

A few options then ?

I think this depends on how O Connell rates Dean Grant. If he doesnt fancy him then Lacy slots back into right back and Haverson to left back. or if he does like Grant then Lacy could play left back with Grant sticking to the right, or swap them around.

Then, if no new players join before tomorrow, who will replace Clark in midfield. Stubbs to left mid and Lacy to right mid with Grant right back? or even Grant right mid and Lacy right back with Haverson left back?

enough options for the manager to pick from - but one which he will not be considering is Duncan to left back. He has already judged him not good enough for his first choice in central mid (his actual position), so why would him deem him good enough to play a different position. Think his lack of pace at left back would be obvious, amongst other things .
