Comments on Tonbridge game

I think many last night thought that with a new boss, new players and future developments within MFC there was a real buzz prior to the game (myself included) to get a win. But in the real world it's gona need time for the boss to take a look at the players within the squad and to find the right blend. The down side is we are running out of games and time is not on our side but we MUST get something on Saturday.

Realistic Blue is spot on - most of this team is just not good enough for this level. That's not a snipe at the players - we're just asking too much of them. Think that puts us 8 points from safety now (assuming 4 do go down.... some form of reprieve always seems likely). We keep saying such-and-such a game is a 'must win', but we haven't won any of them! Too much to ask now... think survival is beyond our reach unfortunately.

Thats 100% true Mike we DO keep saying it & we DO still come a cropper BUT we have no choice but to KEEP on saying it (its a fact after all) & just hope that it does actually happen.

Survival I admit is getting harder to achieve with each game we lose but hey,still 13 games to go, we can STILL do it. I'll admit defeat but only when we are defeated (end of season league-position-wise).

For me the highlight from last night's game was the Tonbridge fans singing early on: Three men, two men, one man and a forklift truck couldn't pick up Jim Ward...
