Do we know if Walker is allowed to play against us Tuesday night?

One seat going spare. Leaving Billericay at 6PM. Any takers contact me.

According to the Mudstone chat room, he can play against us under the loan agreement. Can you see a blinding performance coming up !!!!

Gotta say we deserved, at the very least, a point. On a bog of a pitch (Aveley would never have agreed to play on that!), it was always going to be something of a slog. Top effort and committment from all the players which is more than can be said for the stayaway/can't be arsed so-called Billericay supporters. You can't ask the players to put it in and care if you can't be bothered yourself. Still, roll on Saturday and the small matter of doing the double over Dartford!

no goals yet again and you get no points for effort! back in the bottom 4! Ryan the players get paid so yes you can ask for commitment! the so called stayaway fans may not be able to afford 2 games a week! we need goals, we had 2 forwards starting tonight and 3 on the bench, no excuses

The point I was making bill-ER-ricky, was that if the players put in the same kind of effort and committment (two words I often hear thrown at the players in what they are lacking) as supporters do, we would be a long time relegated. We're in a pickle, but now's the time to SUPPORT. Get out and support YOUR club, before it's too late.

Same old story – created the majority and better of the chances but a combination of poor finishing and (unsurprisingly given the situation) some good saves from Walker meant we failed to score again.

The effort of all the players couldn’t be faulted but there is distinct lack of confidence in and around the penalty area that needs addressing urgently if we are to stay in this division next season. Other results last night couldn't have been much worse either.

Have we actually managed to get many (any) points this season after conceding the first goal of the game?

I just wanted to let you know that I was a stay away supporter last night.

Not from lack of effort or commitment.

My commitment was to my work and my family.

Unfortunately we can't be at every game much as we would like to be.

I agree with Ryan in some part. You couldn't fault the players effort and if we had a stronger presence behind the goal or around the ground, maybe it would've been different. I have witnessed (and been a part of) what the supporters can do to lift our team (Heybridge a couple of seasons ago comes to mind) and as a force you can't fault the "Blue Army" in full voice. There has been some criticism on this forum about lack of effort on the pitch from some and yet no or little effort, from those that fire that criticism out, is made to get behind the team.

BUT

The ultimate show of supporters frustration comes in one shape and size in football. Apart from our less frequent supporters, there are those regular supporters who now are staying away from both away and home games. They have an opinion and unfortunately it's the silence of their feet, not walking down Blunts Wall Road and not turning the turnstiles. In their defence, if they were challenged, they will back their arguement concerning their attendence and support by debating the teams performance, choice of players, performance of the manager etc., etc., which they will back up by pointing out our current position in the league. Unfortunately (and to quote a regular supporter), the league does not lie.

The concern for me is how far we have dropped off since our Play Off final a couple of seasons ago. Again, this shows how a club is supported when the good times are in and you're pushing for promotion. We had half the gate at Bromley in the final (as well as half the gate at Chelmsford for the semi). For the run in to the play off's for that season, we had a healthy home and away attendence...why? I think it quite obvious why.

Last season was not as good as it could've been (but a damn sight better than this one at the mo). The frustration of some people was starting to show then. When Brian came in there was a feeling of a brave new dawn...it hasn't happened (yet) and we're now struggling in the league. I believe, to some, last season, together with the apparent faliure to live up to the apparent promise that this season was hopefully going to bring has worn people's patience thin. You can argue you support a team through thick and thin but you have to look around and see teams in a similar position and wonder if their support is dropping off? I bet it is. There is also the financial choice. When you consider the chance of staying in the warm and watch a Championship game on television or come down, pay a tenner (£9) to support a team that is in a relegation dog fight in the cold and rain....the "passing" supporter will choose the former. There is also personal circumstances which, in good times some are willing to "park"...when times get difficult....not so much. And even in the good times, people choose the level of support they want to give, in whatever shape and form.

The position we find ourselves in at the moment is not good. It's salavagble but we need to start winning games. With every game lost, the task becomes harder (nowt like stating the bloody obvious). We're three points from safety and yes, we do need these people to come down and support the club (home and away) because they do make the difference. We should never give up on the club and likewise, we should never give up to encourage people to come down and support the club. We lose all round if we do give up. I can only stress and repeat myself that every man, woman and child that do and have supported this club do make the difference and this club needs you to get behind the team and lift the players and lift the club.

I'm with Lamp's to a degree.

I did think for a mili second will i or won't i.

I choose not to drive down to Maidstone.

I feel i should not have to justify my reasons for not going to any particular game to anyone no matter what their standing in the club,

But to come on the forum and see fan's slated for not showing up to games is not really helping matters & blaming them for the team loosing is a joke.

Are we expected to clock in and out of the gate to show our loyalty to Billericay Town? If you want to draw fan's back to the club can i suggest that slagging them off may be the wrong tactic.

The easy equation (because any sport is pretty one dimentional) to draw supporters back is to start winning games, BB.

Frustration is showing and the last thing we need to do is start picking on each other. Perhaps I should post my notes that were in the Aveley programme.

Agree with the others that you couldn't fault the team's effort last night. We had by far the best of the first half and if we could have gone in a couple up things would probably have been different. Thought Billy looked quite sharp considering his lay-off, but he needed to tuck one away.

Maidstone looked to be happy enough settling for 0-0 judging by the time Walker was taking with his kicks. Their lack of ambition surprised me, as I'd have thought they should have been looking for the win all along, based on them being at home, and our poor league position.

Not much created in the second half, even though the gaffer did make some positive changes when Cleaver and Charge came on.

For the first time, I'm now seriously worried by the look of the table, as time begins to run out.

I didn’t read Ryans post as slagging off the supporters; I thought it was an answer to comments made, and a request for help. No-one expects every supporter to attend every game.

The effort and disappointment displayed by every blue (inc players) last night was clear to see. It was a bit like Groundhog Day though, we could/should have taken maximum points but in the end got zero.

We need points and we need them fast.

This was a really bad result for us. Maidstone had lost a couple of key players and had played 90 minutes in a swamp on Saturday - so in my opinion this was a game we should have won.

Again, the players showed the effort and desire needed but again the result was the wrong one. Our position in the league (although it's roughly where we've been all season) gets worse due to the diminishing number of games left.

I know I keep saying it, but winning is hard and losing is easy. This is such a tight division that small fractions make big differences and we are clearly coming up short in some areas.

I just hope we manage to get ourselves out of this, but it is hope and not expectation.

Forgive me, but I'm not interested in any individuals circumstances.

I'll say it again, but in a slightly different way. As a collective, supporters are not backing up what they accuse the players of. If we were still averaging 600 at home and regularly taking 100/150 away, then supporters can rightly say they're doing their bit. But we're not. They've gone missing. This is YOUR club and supporters WILL, in one way or another, dictate which direction it goes in. If you don't shake off the cloak of apathy there's only one way that will be. This isn't just about last night, this has been coming for a long time.

BB, if you haven't clocked in by 7.15PM tomorrow night you will be docked a pint of Stongbow! (That's a joke by the way)
