The F.A. have confirmed the following:

Kent vs Sheffield & Hallamshire

Saturday 24th April 2010

Kick Off: 2.00pm

Priestfield Stadium - Gillingham F.C.

I will post more details about tickets etc in due course. It would be great to see as many of you there as can make it. The players really do want to try and make good last season's defeat in the Final.

Well done Sammy.

Could not believe the comments at the last home game when he was totally out of position.

Your Dads a proud Man.

Just hope we can keep hold of him for another year. Agree BB - criticising a 17 year old isn't going to help his development (a small minority I must add that voiced their frustration). How about channeling the energy from moaning into singing - it works and it also helps the team. Big chance to do that tonight.

Great to see such a talent at the club.

Like you say Graeme he was out of position & him not having a good game at full back blame cannot be attached to him for that.

However, having said that,it WAS an easy ball to deal with that led to their goal on the day no matter where he was playing.Incidentally that occured in a midfield position,a position he should be used to being in.

This is not a dig at him but a fact from that day, because I rate him very highly, both now & for the future (Him & Curtis are two that HAVE progressed from their introductory 1st season in the 1st XI),but errors like that one cannot continue......by anyone!

Its these minor errors, lapses of concentration/indecision that has put us in the position we find ourselves in now.

He can't be entirely to blame though as the defence had ample time to have dealt with it & they didn't.

Playing in his more familiar forward roll where he does exceedingly well, if errors of this nature are made they should easily be overcome even before an opponent even gets a sniff at goal.

Hopefully with the new additions we will see less errors like that or of any sort come to that.We will see,

but hopes are high with me right now that we can do a lot better all round, starting tonight and this time in front of,hopefully a decent home crowd.

A good result tonight will see an increase I'm sure in the attendance next game.If we fail then well.. we know what happens then don't we? But lets not go there !

Make an effort to get there tonight everyone, make that effort & see Sammy Cliff emerge as our M.O.T.M.

I don't think we need to be too analytical Cookie. As Iain said on Thursday, positive thinking is the way to go. Not least in our position. Let's not dwell on past mistakes and instead allow the players to clear their heads and approach this new era with a positive mentality.
