Premier Relegation

I'd take a guess at Welwyn and Hatfield? (Assuming Hatfield don't find an alternative venue?)

As there will be no "normal" relegation again this season (which makes a mockery of the whole season IMO) does anyone know who is likely to fill the two "relegation" slots on ground grading.

I have tried asking league officials but have come back with nothing.

i am sure Rhodes will correct me if i am wrong..........

WGC will be relegated as per ground grading whatever position they finish in, so would Hatfield i assume, unless they have a new groundshare sorted.

As people have stated before though...........the relegation from step 4 and promotion from step 6 could make it interesting

Personally, hope Tring win the league and KTFC stay up

So when do Hatfield have to confirm with the league where they are playing next season? As i am wondering if they find somewhere else to play that meets with the ground grading will that save them? If so then it will be WGC and KTFC for the big drop. or is that wrong????

And who looks like they are going to be taking the step down from level 4? Would it be Harlow or would they go into the Essex league?

Also how many questions can i ask in 1 post? Kick_Can_emoticon.gif

Harlow would go into ESL.............Barton and Aylesbury into SSML

With clubs folding though, anything could happen.

Does anyone know who would be eligible for promotion from Division 1 to the Premier, does anyone know if due to ground grading they could lose their Division 1 status and what clubs would meet the criteria for promotion from Division 2 to Division 1?

All of the above can be answered with the following statement:-

NOBODY HAS A CLUE!!!

Even the league officials couldnt tell you whats happening with all this. All will be decided months after the end of the season, which once again, highlights what a tin pot, piss poorly run league we are now operating in. It's a farce that none of us know what we are playing for, for the entire season. :wtf:

Had the league been a bit more strict when enforcing their own rules regarding ground grading and the deadlines thereof, we would all be a little more aware of where we stand!! :wall:

I think most leagues at Step 5 and below have been guilty of a somewhat laid back approach to ground grading. When the FA said enough was enough, clubs and fans grumbled, but years of ignoring or glossing over problems haven't helped. The grade requirements are there for all to see and know,

Isn't this the criteria that I thought was set in stone unless I'm mistaken:

Step 5

In accordance with the procedures adopted in Season 2008/09, all clubs that fail to meet the F Grade be advised that they will be classed as being one of the “relegated clubs” at the end of the current playing season. Should there be more clubs in a particular competition that fail to meet the F Grade than there are relegation places then the aforementioned clubs be ranked in accordance to their final league positions and relegation applied accordingly. Clubs that are retained without the F Grade will continue to be classed as relegated clubs. Clubs relegated will be replaced by clubs in Step 6 that fully comply with the current requirements of G Grade and can prove that they will be able to meet the F Grade by 31 March in the year following promotion and qualify for promotion by virtue of their final league position.

Step 6

It was agreed that all clubs that fail to meet the G Grade be advised that they will be classed as being one of the “relegated clubs” at the end of the current playing season. Should there be more clubs in a particular competition that fail to meet the G Grade than there are relegation places then the aforementioned clubs be ranked in accordance to their final league positions and relegation applied accordingly. Clubs that are retained without the G Grade will continue to be classed as relegated clubs. Clubs will only be relegated if there are clubs in Step 7 that meet the leagues entry requirements to replace them.

That really helped no end, so which clubs meet Grade D, E, F or don't comply, who sits in row Z, does A,B,C mean you're more important than a V.I.P, does an O.A.P. get a fee K.F.C....the question is who can and will go up, and who will go down, no more cryptic clues, please!!!! :signthankspin:

Sorry, not really. Grading sign-off goes on until March 31st, Most clubs fail on first visit but will have already or will pass on final inspection. Hopefully.

Some clubs have a previous pass (3 year expiry), some groundshare with a club in a higher league that has already passed the grade and some may have decided not to proceed further. As I have said before, it is known that Brimsdown, Chalfont, Hanwell, all have the E Grade. As to the others I'm sure all will be revealed soon enough
