White at Night

I know this might sound daft & I might be the only one who might be thinking this but would our chances be enhanced if we were to wear the White shirts at evening games under the floodlights. It shouldn't do of course but would it, being easier to actually see who we were passing to, bring an improvement in various parts of the players games.I.M.O. our lights don't seem to be as bright as when they were first installed (for whatever reason I don't know).

Yes I know we are the "Blues" but it was just a thought.

I dont know what our record is under the lights playing in White shirts & if it were looked up maybe I it might not be such a good an idea, maybe it might I dunno know but COULD it, WOULD it improve our chances?, Would it be of help?, or am I just clutching at straws here?.

It certainly couldn't make things worse, surely?

This thread might not get many replies & might become a dead duck but I thought I'd put it to a debate nevertheless.

Of course, if it worked for us it might work for others so perhaps we would finish up having both teams on the ptich in white shirts!

You reckon it's the floodlights to blame for our players not being able to pass to each other?

No of course not......well not entirely, but looking for a white shirt even in good light must be slightly easier than looking for a blue one.

I said this was probably a waste of time thread but what the heck. :255: :wtf: :icon22:

Gary, I'm talking about OUR team not others & besides it wouldn't happen now would it? :wall:

Well, I don't know Cookie - after all everyone has their rights! If Margate were to be seen taking an advantage and winning all their games by playing in white shirts perhaps everyone who knows their rights would demand that they be allowed to play in white shirts so that they could win all their games as well.

Who knows, after that you might even find cricket teams playing in white under floodlights then, they do play under floodlight in colours don't they?

IMO for what its worth, any possible competitive advantage no matter how small should be considered and sometimes just doing something different can make a impact

yes so the fielders cant be seen and are more likely to have the ball hit to them , therefore this is a good arguement for wearing white

I only like teams in blue - Margate and Chelsea!! in all seriousness is it actually possible? Tomorrow night could Margate decide they wanted to play in white, or does it have to be the blue? thats a genuine question as I have no idea of the rules and regs!

blue or white - a win would be lovely!!!

it is a well known and proven fact......teams that play in RED are most successful

Really? Like AC Milan and Real Madrid?

Or did you mean international teams. The most successful ones are Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Gemany, France - none of them wear red. Spain wear red, count their trophies if you will...

and i believe AC Milan have red in their colours

England wore red when they won world cup

without being pedantic Stuy,,,,,,the study showed that pro rata, teams wearing red were more successful overall
