World Cup at the Bridge

will the club be showing any of the world cup coverage this summer in the club house.

 

as there isnt many pubs left in Upminster now where you can watch live sport on a tv!

 

if we are then it would be a good idea to get a bit of money over the bar for the club.

Attendance during the Euro's was rubbish.

Would have thought we'ed have to guarantee at least 20 turning up.

The problem with the euros was it was left till the last minute before we found out it was open,england weren't in it also

I think there are plans to open it for the games at least the england games and the bigger ones,most will be on terrestrial tv so no problems there.

If we publicise it properly and maybe throw in the odd barbecue,event etc they could be a big success

I am sure the supporters association could organise something for the england games at least.Also as long as the club wants the bar open then we should attract decent numbers

England's first two games kick off at 7.30 on a Friday/Saturday night respectively, with the Slovenia match starting at 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon.....every little helps.

well i shall be taking the wednesday off,i think we need to see if the club has been booked for a function on the other two nights

If we win the group we will be playing on saturday 26th june at 7.30pm,if we finish runners up it will be sunday 27th at 7.30pm

if we get through after tgat the game will be either friday 2nd july at 7.30pm or saturday 3rd july at 3pm

After that it will be either a tuesday or wednesday game for the semis 6/7 july at 7.30pm

and for the 3rd/4th play off saturday 10th july at 7.30pm

For the final Sunday 11th july at 7.30pm

I will take each game as it comes..

I will probably watch the England games at home, or up the Hendersons.. pubs will be manic with nutters...win, lose or draw it's guaranteed to kick off....

But other than the game against the septics I can make all the others, hope there'll be more than the three of us tthat were there to see the Greeks in their first game in the Euro competition.

Can we have sufficient bottled bitter on each occasion please but don't keep it in the chiller..
