Lowestoft Game Off

Hi Guys

Firstly very sorry for the Enfield fans who made the long slog up here to Lowestoft to find the match postponed. We did everything within our power to try and get this game on, but when half of the North Sea decides to dump its excess over our pitch through the night..what chance do we have?!!

For the few Enfield fans that made it to the Club, I showed them around the Ground and even bought a few beers. Best I could do!

I have posted some pics of the pitch condition on our Forum here:

Hope you can make it back as would love to see you here.

Take care.

Thanks for the post & pics Ragman, not the clubs fault & thanks for the early notification.

Was really looking forward to coming up today, I guess the re arranged game will be mid week, which is a shame as I think todays gate would have been the biggest in this league for many a year.

Here's to finding a Saturday for the game, good luck for the rest of the season.

I totally agree. We were looking forward towards the best attendance of the season with maybe a 1000+ A lot of interest and right up until Thursday night, this game was on. Unfortunately Mother Nature deals you a cruel hand sometimes...and we got it...big style!!

Not the same in mid-week, which I'm sure you'll agree, but still hope to see you Guys when it happens.

I loved it down your Ground when we were there!

You also have good luck (though not as good as us) for the rest of the season.

Take care.

We met a mate of ours from Norwich and had a few drinks in The Harbour Inn.

I did not get out to see the ground as I believed what I was told that the pitch was waterlogged. It was not in Lowestoft's interest to postpone the game.

My dad bought some fish in the fish market and I bought some fresh vegetables from the market.

I was able to see the Marina. If the game is delayed until mid April I may be able to sail to the ground!

I reckon Sea Eagles should be released in the area!

See "Say no to Sea Eagles".
