Urchins v Hastings - pitch inspection

There is a planned pitch inspection at 10:30am Saturday morning.

 

As soon as we have further new we will relay it.

I know the pitch is in a right old state as we have had heavy rain the last few days but i think that the wind today and the brief period of sun today would of helped it.

 

I think every effort should be made to get this game on unless it is completely impossible.

 

I am not working tomorrow now and will be available early on to help out if needed,perhaps someone from the club could let us know

Trouble is Rob, the ground itself is waterlogged. Light rain scheduled tonight and another down pour tomorrow are expected so not looking good, despite your best efforts.

there is a period of rain early tomorrow predicted between 3-6,apparantly this will be hit or miss to some areas,after that there are light showers predicted.

If we hardly get any rain tonight then we may just have a chance,saying that,if we could all help out in the morning in true urchin fashion who knows what may happen.

My gut feeling is that we may of had a bit too much rain but who knows

 

 

If it is off does anyone fancy a beer or two somewhere as i believe the chelsea v man city game is on at lunchtime and i am also led to believe stoke v arsenal is on early evening

Personally i think we should be down there in the morning to work on the pitch. Even if we fail its a try to get a game on which is what the club needs through gate money.

Sadly no 3pm fixture looks appetising for the Drill/Chequers/Cricketers with neither West Ham nor a big team playing. BTW,
