Drinking in the stands

The crackdown at this level is a joke but rules are rules so how come frome can get away with it? Isnt it slightly unfair they can get away with extra bar sales whilst others cant?

I would say that they would argue it is part of the clubhouse and therefore allowed. I dunno, one rule for one rule for another, you would never see that at any other level of football would you?!?!?!

But lets be honest, who would go to Frome to enforce the rules when they probably don't need enforcing. Just one of the quirks of football at this level I guess.

They look happy enough though!!!

Think we can have a 'balcony' built outside the clubhouse? or just roof over the Punto stand... coffee%20%282%29.gif

Honestly, I've never seen any drink-related trouble at our ground, and I've only heard of one such incident anywhere *cough*barstool*cough* so you'd think at this level the FA might apply common sense... well, they could try, anyhow.

I thought it was strange when they asked me if i wanted a plastic glass. I took it outside and went and stood on the part behind the goal, this was just before kick off. Nobody told me i couldn't or tried to stop me. All very bizzare, you cant take it outside at our place.

Would that be like at Andover with the big windows, or Marlow who also have that, in fact quite a few clubs have that. In fact you can watch the game from our clubhouse windows (I often have to if Flicky is in the clubhouse) so is that against the rules as well?

All very petty when you have 100 or so people just enjoying themself and causing no alcohol related trouble. Unlike the FA to be enforcing pointless and obtuse rules and making it awkward for anyone in football........

So if we built a shed on the punto stand with a few windows stocked beer in there we could watch and drink the game from that!? Awesome

Some clubs where they have 'viewing' areas from the bar shut the curtains/blinds simply because of this ruling. If they are not going to enforce it then why dont we 'bend' the rules aswell? I'm sure the club would welcome the extra cash!

Woody, that sounds like a spiffing idea. Maybe if we ever rebuild the clubhouse we could have a balcony on top of it like a cricket pavillion to stand out and watch the footy from. then you could really look down on us behind the goal :biglaugh:

If you win those Euromillions............
