Doesn't sound very promising at all, just got this reply from their Chairman:

Hello Glen. Sorry just got an update on the condition of our pitch. It is waterlogged at the moment, still raining now with more tomorrow. It looks like at present it has about a 5% chance of going ahead we have an inspection booked for 9am on Saturday. Our club secretary will contact you once this has taken place. I hope this is of help to you. Regards, Bernie Stuttard (Football Chairman, Barton Rovers FC]

Burnham game rescheduled for April 13th, meaning that we are playing the top 3 in 10 days! Bury (A) on the 10th, Burnham (A) on the 13th and Hitchin (H) on the 20th, with Aylesbury (H) sandwiched in between.

17 games to play in March and April. Looks like Bateman will need to make the most of his big squad in the run up to the end of the season.

Fixture list in March is crazy.

Looking at the weather forecast there could easily be another to add come Tuesday.

Tomorrow looks pretty bad but Monday and Tuesday look ok.

One way or another we need to try our utmost to get Tuesdays game on.

Would it be possible to survey the damage after Sundays weather to see what might be required to get Tuesdays game on?

Also remember Beaconsfield will be at home again monday 1st march !

and playing today ......

If Sundays weather forecast comes true I would guess that Beaconsfields match on Monday will be called off.

But as previously stated if Monday and Tuesdays weather is ok, if at all feasable, we have some time to try to get the game on.

Well the BBC forecast says that the rain will appear overnight tonight and stay heavy through tomorrow until the evening. Means we should have 2 days of dry weather prior to the Chesham game, with temperatures up to around 6-8 degrees. Fingers crossed we can get our game on, but Beaconsfield may not be so lucky. Will be interesting to see how well the pitch drains after tomorrows rain.

although we are in the midst of ark weather ( i've noticed wild life going around in twos) holloways park sits on chalk and going by past seasons has always drained well, we have held games there when all around local have had to call theirs off, that and it sits on relatively high ground, so i'm quite confident that as long as the weather forecast is right tuesday's game should be on.

Well from the looks of it, Beaconsfield's game is going ahead (based purely on the fact that it's 1h15 to kickoff and it is not down as postponed on the league site). Hopefully a good sign for our game tomorrow as the weather is not meant to change much, just a bit of overnight frost to worry about, with sunny weather forecast for tomorrow and temperatures around 7-8 degrees.
