Bits n bobs of news

Some things never change.... According to a posting on that most reliable and definately uncontrovertably right of sources - the Chelmsford message board - Jamie Wallace has a slight injury and will miss most of pre season.

Essex's newest pro club Grays Pathetic got done 5-0 on saturday by Colchester. Grays were none too impressive by all accounts. In case you're wondering (and I'm sure you all are) the team of pro superstars (chortle chortle) they used against the Os in the preceding game, a 3-1 defeat was:

Capleton (Jackson 67), Paul (Morris 46), Olayinka (D Lunan 46), Robinson (Richardson 46), Mealor (Nunn 46), Carthy (Bradshaw 46), Oxby, Williams (Conway 46), Oshitola (Smith 67), Lock (Ndukuba 75), Hayzelden (Sintin 46)

No sign of Kerrigan there, and rumour has it Williams is now captain!

Kettering fans seem well impressed with Richard Graham, apparently he starred again on Saturday in another friendly.

Another 'ricay old boy doing Ok is Stafford Browne who scored both goals in K's opening pre season game - a 2-0 win ofer AFC dons.

yes indeed simon...as i recall richard g looked like a world beater for us last pre season as well..having said that still wouldnt mind having him in the side.....with regard to kerrigan i still reckon he s a decent player but perhaps too many bridges have been burnt for a ricay return.

I think Opinel went back to france last season. Can't remember who he was playing for though. Always enjoyed watching him play for us, be interesting to see if he can make it in the conf.

I guess Scotty Forrester has run out of clubs to play for so he's started to work his way through them again! Never entirely convinced by him, although would have liked to have seen him given more than 2 starts to prove himself. That said his performance in the away game at Aylesbury last year left much to be desired - effort, commitment, invlolvement!

I thought Leon had retired!
