Rhodes
Horace - I gather Sport London e Benfica have been informed in no uncertain terms by the League that they cannot groundshare at Coles Park again next season
Horace
Horace - Is that likely to happen though, I can't see it I have seen it in print that the extra week would be taken if more than 6 more games were lost to the weather, and more than double that have already been lost since then. "The season end would go to May 1st (subject to ground availability) if more than 6 fixtures in either of the top 2 divisions are postponed on one Saturday / midweek between now [15 Feb] and end April. " On your other point, hinting at delight that SLeB won't be allowed to groundshare at Coles Park, the minute went further than that and barred Haringey from having ANY groundsharing tenants. Double delight for you, no doubt. Edited February 24, 2010 by Horace

Rhodes
Horace - Well I was sounded out yesterday in a round about way by a Sport London e Benfica player who asked me about the availability of the Viking Sports Ground for next season so the Club must already be looking for a new place to call home

sjj2112
Horace - Well I was sounded out yesterday in a round about way by a Sport London e Benfica player who asked me about the availability of the Viking Sports Ground for next season so the Club must already be looking for a new place to call home Why would anybody approach the tenant club to enquire about availability? Surely they should be approaching Bedfont Green? Also, did anybody else spot this thread on the TK forum? TM thread on TK

Sjj2112 - Tokyngton Manor will be sole leaseholders of the Viking Sports Ground next season, I guess Special1 had already got wind of that and asked one of his players to cleverly, and in a round about way, sound me out as to whether we might consider a groundshare with Sport London e Benfica

Special1
Horace - Well I was sounded out yesterday in a round about way by a Sport London e Benfica player who asked me about the availability of the Viking Sports Ground for next season so the Club must already be looking for a new place to call home Unfortunately, the player in question knew you before joining our club and so what he does in his spare time is down to him, however, I would question who was sounding who. Regarding a new place to call home, it is no secret that SLB is looking for a long term solution. Just like TK can't help themselves and whatever SLB have, TK want. The decision regarding Haringey will be disputed. Especially as Benfica have only played 1 home less than TK - Haringey has also only played a couple of games less than other teams in the Premier. What I find more serious, and no one has yet explained how this was allowed, is how a Spartan member club can obtain a TEMPORARY contract to groundshare, putting another fellow member club in an unenviable position to find a new ground within a couple of weeks of the AGM, putting their participation in the league at risk. How does this pass through the eyes of the Management Committee and a TEMPORARY contract allowed. Either their home ground is Hanwell or it isn't! And if the Viking Ground isn't good enough to cope a bit of rain, as is the accusation directed at Coles Park, then TK should also not be allowed to use this as their home ground next season! phoinex, NeutralFan, sjj2112 and 2 others
Rhodes
This saturdays spartan south midlands divi one game between Tokyngton manor v hoddesdon town to be played at HANWELL TOWN also looking at playing some home games at South Kilburn because of the poor state of the pitch at viking Sjj2112 - I have only just seen the second part of your post as I can't always access the another Forum, I assume you were referring to the link stating the above. Tokyngton Manor have merely sounded South Kilburn out about the possibility of playing occasionally at their ground that is all as our Chairman is friendly with theirs, the person who posted the above was wrong as it isn't due to the state of the pitch at the Viking Sports Ground at all. Just so we are clear. You have a full season agreement with Bedfont Green at the Viking Ground but you can't play there for whatever reason. (Rather we know the reason but lets pretend we don't') You have a temporary contract with Hanwell Town that only lasted part of the season which seems to have passed under the radar of the League Management Committee but you can't play there either. So now South Kilburn are being touted. You have played only 1 more home game than SLB. And it's Haringey's Coles Park that's being criticised by the league for being 1 home game behind other teams in the season? Sniff, sniff. Something stinks. And it ain't Rhodes' after shave!
