What with more rain forecast for today, another inch or so for tomorrow and more rain and even snow on tuesday the game against canvey has to be in some doubt,i hope there isn't a game being played on the pitch today as that will just make things worse. And what with the forecast for the rest of the week i wouldn't be surprised if saturdays game with hastings were to fall foul of the weather.

Just about fed up with the weather this season, think the ryman league and fa need to get their heads together soon as it could well mean extending the season

its ridiculous,i remember 2000-1 it was bad but games have been called off since november this year and at a higher level,i think the pitches were better then,at the moment many teams do not have the luxury of keeping their pitches in tip top condition as they don't have the money, plus ten years on the guidlines for what is a fit pitch to play on or not are even harsher

This wet/cold weather looks like going on for another couple of weeks at least,if it does that will be well into march

I was watching the FL highlights last night and the state of the Don Valley Stadium - Rotherham v Torquay - was truly shocking.

Don't think I have even seen a Non League surface that bad. Just patches everywhere..

You ever been to Wingate & Finchley? Best playing surface I ever seen...

This is exactly the reason why i feel that league games must be prioritised over county & league cup games.

If all this global warming bollox is true then our winters will get worse and worse at least thats whats predicted.I know the relevant county FA's can't predict the weather but the minute it looks like there being a chance of fixture congestion then they should at least make the right decision as the league is always watched by the most fans and what we really care about.I for one don't want to see the last 2 months of the season watching crap football because the players are all knackered but thats what will happen.

Maybe the leagues need to restructure and cut the leagues down to a maximum of 20 teams or at least clubs need better pitches at this level or to cover them more

Meadowbank in 'leafy' Dorking is already doubtful for the Tuesday evenings re-scheduled Christmas 'home' derby due to the amount of rain over the last 36 hours....

..... and more to come, apparently !

this game has been cancelled a couple of times since november because of cup competitions,it is usually our biggest game but will end up being farcical if not played soon

maybe if it gets called off tuesday both clubs could look at playing the game thursday weather permitting, only problem with that would be it may cut our pitch up badly for saturdays game

Just checked this forecast that has been updated since i started this thread,it shows substantial rain for monday but tuesday now appears to be clear with no rain, this is of course subject to change but looks a little more promising.Only thing is that BBC weather says we are still in for rain on tuesday but they are often wrong

We had an awful lot of rain last night. Apparently it is turning to snow in the north of the county, but I cannot see it settling down here as there is far too much surface water.

Tomorrow doesn't look too bad, but rain is forecast for just before kick-off and showers before that.

Will be interesting to see if Aveley's match goes ahead at home tonight.

Hopefully our match will survive and we can pick up another three points.

The forecast tomorrow is not too bad but it keeps changing,i think the damage has been done by todays rainfall.

Went to braintree this morning and there was heavy snow, would be nice for our game to be on but judging by the amount of flooded fields and gardens in the area i doubt it

Have just been out,its a godd 5-6 hours since we had any rain and the forecast upto kick off is not too bad,i suppose it all depends on how bad the pitch is and if it can recover in time.

Not sure what time i am finishing work tomorrow but will be on hand if i finish early enough if someone could let us know but i am a bit more optomistic than i was earlier, does the club have any sand to put on the really damp parts as i love playing and beating canvey and just want to see a big game down the bridge
