the rumour mill is turning, ive heard the Maidstone Duo are over to be the new Margate team

I must admit that was one that I expected to be in the frame but not one of the rumoured ones at the game today.

Have to mention this decision by the linesman.

Keeper has the ball at his feet out side his box, goes to clear,Healey runs nigh on from the half-way line to intercept & block the clearance, does so,legitimately & cleanly. The lino flags for offside?????? What a weird one that was.

It was because Healy was offside when the ball was originally kicked forward, but hadn't been interfering with play until he challenged the keeper. I agree it was a dodgy decision though, because the keeper had it under control and therefore (IMO) it was a new passage of play.

another frustrating day at HDP from a fans point of view. We could and maybe should have had 3 goals in the first half hour and were on top for most of the first half and it was looking like that we may get something out of this game towards the end of the half it seemed the players lost belief and that carried on into the second half. In the second half you could see why we are in the relegation zone, no confidence or commitment from the majority of the players apart from Stubbs and Healy who were probably our best players out there today. Sam Jones also had an ok game, but wasn't really given oppurtunities to play a decent ball forward mainly because the players weren't creating space up front, Defensive wise we were once again shocking, we are crap in the air, we struggle to clear our lines and i'm surprised that when defending we're not to sure how to mark opposition attackers and we give the so much time on the ball, which was the cause for both goals today. Have to say our goal was a very well worked one, great pass to Stubbs who made a great run down the left wing and into the box and played a pass across the face of goal to Sam Jones who passed it into the net. Thats what we need more off and we had a fair few oppurtunities like that in the second half but instead of playing across the face of goal when there were attackers in the middle we opted to go for goal no matter how difficult the angle may have been.

Our new manager whoever he may be, will have his work cut out and i wish him the very best of luck and he will certainly have my support
