I am looking to arrange a pitch inspection this morning given the frost overnight. Will be done before 11am as that is when sutton are heading off. Will confirm details when I have them.

Given you've had lots of recent experience, what's your view Gary? Is it better or worse than other occasions it's been postponed?

Going up there shortly to have a look. With the frost outside you can never be sure and it will be the usual problem corner which will cause most concern. We will do all we can to get it on and the match referee also supports this, but safety must come first.

Temperatures are forecast to be about 6 degrees.

 

Thats the trouble with an early inspection. Come this afternoon at about 2 it will probably be well playable.

The situation as reported by Gary ..who is out of his bed and actually at the ground...is the match referee is keen to get this match on

 

.....subject to the local referee inspection at 10-30am...who will assess the situtation that it will improve before kick off time...he will allow Sutton c/field to travel...

 

However ! it might be required that we have a few workers down at the ground by 1-30pm ..to help if we need to do some work on that frozen area

 

that has caused problems in the past ...a quarter of the pitch at the far end ( towards Slough) ..the match ref has said if we can pour some hot water on this it

 

might do the trick...so a few buckets and a few forks needed ...So please can you help... cheers chris sliski

The situation as at about 11am - The sun is up on the pitch things looking better !

 

However the match referee will now have final decision and Sutton c/field will now travel ...games need to be played and the sun is doing its trick !

 

we just need to be sure , so a few workers with forks and buckets needed to be there at 1-30pm to re assess the situation..

Gary has confirmed that Sutton C/field have been told to travel....and GAME ON ! at 11-10am

 

just to be 100% sure...those who can get here early ...about 1-30pm ..it would be greatly appreciated...just to do final checks ...
