We have lost 13 games , drawn 7 and won 6 and are in relegation places. Man of the match awards are irrelavant when we have statistics like that .

Yes we have decent individual players, but we don't have a great team.

We have decent players - just need someone decent to gel them together and to start getting results

my point exactly

Dan Stubbs doesnt stop working ever when playing so get my vote.

he is one of the very very few who actually look like they want to win and be there!

as for Robinson he is only a full back so shouldn't necessarily have the pace and skill to beat players on the outside every time he gets the ball, just look at Lacey he has no where near the pace or skill but does what he does effectively and MoM awards do matter in a poor team cos it shows those who are actually playing well in a bad team says alot for there spirit and attitude along with ability

I agree with u- he isn't good enough to beat players on the outside, my point was he attempts to do this every time ( it seems like everytine anyway). I also see ur point that u don't want ur full backs to attack. I like my full backs to be able to attack, especially wen we tend to play quite narrow with a midfield of keister, Wilson, stubbs, healy or Duncan ,hopefully now we have jones and Clarke coming back this will change.

I will never agree that players care about man of match awards at the best of times, let alone wen they are getting beat comfortably on a regular basis.

i like full backs to attack but when your in a team playing poorly and leaking goals your priority isnt always attack attack attack you have caution in the game! i seem to see something different to you then clearly as i dont see him trying to take on players enough and always looking for the inside ball all back to defenders.

players dont care about winning a man of the match award but players do care about winning and playing for margate!

I think Curtis does very well when he takes them on down the wing.Shows good ball control usually & often beats the defender. He can certainly put a good ball across too.

Curtis,to me, is a better player playing in left midfield but because of "needs must" is taking up the full backs role & generally doing well there. He has done good in central defence also, in the past, again when "needs must".

An improved & consistent player as well as being more confident than in previous seasons.I'd say he's now "grown up" if you get my drift. I agree though about his bookings. He needs to cut them out.

Maybe it cos I sit in the stand and so Curtis is the player directly in front of me for 45 mins so I see everything he does , good and bad! I'm

not trying to dig him out or put him down, jus saying my opinion as u lot are, who knows who is right!

I've only been posting for a week, and I'm getting it from all angles!!!

I suppose Man of match awards wen the team is winning everyweek, Winning trophies, promotion or flying at top of the table i cud understand, but wen we are in the position we are in, I guarantee not one player cares about MoM, and if he does than he prob sudnt be in the team at all!!

The M.O.T.M has been done for every home game for a couple seasons now,win lose or draw. It's a bit of fun if you like (no prizes are awarded) but just one small way for us to show our appreciation to those who WE think put on a good show.If a player gets just ONE vote they 're man of the match in someones eyes so the winner of the overall vote, though classed as the overall winner is not the only one to have impressed someone. Those that get just one vote has impressed someone too & are in that fans eyes their m.o.t.m.

It's possible that after each poll (& during it) the players may take a look at the results but I doubt this M.O.T.M even enter their heads as they are playing. I'm also sure most are doing their utmost or at least go out there with that intention, to win the game... as a team member ....rather than to impress on an individual basis.

Yeh of corse by playing well it benefits the team, as long as he is making extra effort to help the team win and not with the sole intention of winning the MoM.

if u asked a player before tomorrows game if they wud rather get the MoM or for the team to get 3 points?? I wud put my house on them saying that they wud rather the 3 points. I wud hope so anyway!! That's wot I ment by remove the player who cares about himself above the team.

Well I reckon Dan Stubbs cares for the team and he won this poll by a country mile, along with other polls recently. Anyways new poll on now, and as I said previously people do not have to vote it is their perogative. :)
