Bowers & Pitsea

I have been to Kenneth Road off and on with Romford since 1992 and for some reason have never felt comfortable there.

Not been since 2007 but their attempts to spruce up the ground, ended with it looking like an annexe to the Tilbury container docks.

Nice enough peeps, bar and totty behind the jump, but there's something about the place that doesn't resonate with me.

Southend Manor

A bit similar to the above really, but those wide open spaces doesn't help on the atmosphere front. Shame the big old stand had to come down,

but sitting in it during August reduced one's nuts to pea-sized proportions. Saying that we have had some great visits there in times of yore - the great pitch invasion of 1993 and regular post-match

visits to town for some slut hunting...oh if I could write a book.. :) .

Bar was okay, but has never been the same since Chris the barmaid gave up the job...she had the biggest pair of funbags in Christendom... :dance (2):

Basildon United

I know we have played there early/late season in the past, but I have always had a cold feel about the place. It has a decent amount of cover and seats for Step 5, but stuck out in the middle of nowhere

with the incongruous 'Onion' overlooking the stand has never made the place look aesthetically pleasing in my opinion.

Has a decent selection of wine, so does have its plus points. But many minus ones too...

Enfield 1893

Not been to their new Broxbourne home, but loved going to Ware when they were decamped there... We always won games that mattered against them and and twice fvcked up their promotion hopes.. :)

Sawbo

Was there last season - pre new stand - and although one of the more basic ESL stadia, I have always enjoyed it there. Bar is sh!t, but there's nothing nicer on a warm day than walking up the hill

from the station with a plethora of good pubs to choose from. Memories of the ESL semi-final cup replay there in 1995 will live long in the memory..great match, lost on pens - grrr - but around 25 of Hertfordshire's

finest put in an appearance after a few tear ups in the first leg..what tinkers we were in our youth :)

Burnham Ramblers

Leslie Field is probably everyone's favourite ESL ground... but for how much longer one wonders? Everything about the place is just nice. Early/late season visits normally guarantee a good day out. Out of the station and pub crawl it to the river front and a few hours in a the Star. Perfect.

Nope..deffo SM.. She used to be on the committee and is one of 'er indoors' best friends. Known her for 30 years and always had a pervable set of mammaries.. :)

I seem to remember a buxom wench behind the Concord bar too.

I would agree with everyone's opinions about Burnham, was one of my first ESL grounds that i went to in the 80's and was impressed with it then, Manor got my vote because of how much it has changed since that big old stand. This was at a time when canvey were in the esl and only had a shed on the side and look at them now, with that massive terrace behind the carpark.

You're having a laugh! Those grounds are either former recycling sites, gypsies colonies, industrial estates, railways dumping grounds or metropolitan drugs den...nothing compared to the beautiful scenery you get atLower road!Priceless and wait for when i get that cheque from sir Camelot...

Are Barking and Eton Manor allowed to play on a pitch where the council can turn around and call a game off at their will? It did rain a lot yesterday in London, but I always thought it needed a referee to call the game off except for in exceptional circumstances (such as the heavy snow fall we had a few weeks back)?

We didn't mind...with all the injuries we had another few days and we'll have the full roster available for an end of season tour de force :coffee (2):
