NEW MANAGER

I would go for a local manager that could build for the long term. Mark Munday maybe?

He's doing very well in his 1st season I see.

Yep get your point. But that does not mean that he may not be a better bet long term than others who enjoy early success.

If MFC want to build for the long term i think looking closer to home for a manager could be a good idea. Travelling back and forth from Aldershot or whereever for a club at low a level as MFC seems a bit crazy.

Having somebody like MM and giving him time seems better to me than the ever revolving door and almost total lack of planning that seems to be in place now...

Anyway Cookie who would you like? Realistically.

I've been waiting for you to come back with exactly that reply. Much too early for MM. In time I agree,a possibilty but its going to be some time yet.

In reply to your question. Can't really think of one right now but just so long as whoever it is that comes in,or takes on more, they can motivate the team & get them winning games rather being unlucky & losing them then thats all I care about.

Whoever comes in I will accept (& so should everyone else) as I did MB at first & for a while might I add.

To be fair to MB he did at long last start to get the players believing in themselves more & he eventually got some decent players too who unfortunately are now injured & not playing for a while. I credit him for that but it did take a while.

However he's gone now & we have to move on & stop apportioning blame to whoever.

This improvement must be maintained. I have seen some real good efforts in the last 135 minutes out of 180 & that has to continue. That is down to the players as well as the manager, whoever is appointed temporarily or on a permanent basis & oh yes supporters MUST get to games & help this club.

Oops,Sorry went of the point there a bit. Old habits die hard eh! ;)

I would like George Borg as manager, but realisticaly that isn't going to happen, so putting all the realistic options into play, i can't think of one who would be great for this club now and in the long run. Mark Butler was the perfect man for the job at this club, but for whatever the reason it isn't the case...sadly. You never know the next manager that comes along may surprise us, I really hope so

Phil, i admire your loyalty in support of Ian, however we all know what a great player he was for MFC. I for one think he has done well as a manager but would not want to see him as manager of MFC. The reason for thi is that if it did not work out i would hate to see our supporters turn and hound a once great MFC legend out of the job.

I noticed that Jim Ward was at the Wealdstone game!
