Will the last one out please turn off the light.

football is transient.......chairmen, directors, managers and players come and go, its what they do while they are at the club that they are remembered for............some are good, some bad, thats life

the one thing that doesnt change is the FANS

even the ones that decide not to turn up , for whatever reason, still have the best interests of the club at heart.....well, most of them!

by the posts ive read, the majority of fans are uneasy with some aspects of the way the club is run.................so get off your arses and do something about it, because in reality YOU THE FANS are what make Margate FC what it is

sitting behind a keyboard sniping at each other or the club will not help the situation and it seems to me that some cant wait for the club to fail just to feel justified about their feelings, but luckily they are in the minority

from what ive seen, Margate fans are amongst the best in non league football and now is the time to stick together and help take Margate FC back to the top by whatever means you can

relegation will be the death knell of Margate imo.......so hopefully the supporters will get behind the team and get the success they deserve, otherwise the last person could be turning off the light sooner than you think

when you go to a meeting at the club its the same faces asking the questions gate, and you never get a straight answer from any of the board. at a meeting last year Mr Piper said "if somebody walks through the door and makes me a serious offer i would walk away" when asked what that figure would be he couldnt answer, naturally.

but in that same meeting we were told that building work would start on the club, and fair play it has, i have given them some poster frames for advertising in the reception area. Onwards and upwards

Well said Mate.

We can make a difference to the club even if we cannot get to games for what ever reason. You can turn out and support the events people put on for both fund raising and socialising, Race night, bowling,Quiz nights.

Through the good offices( no pun intended Steve) of "Margateshot" we came together and bought 4 shirt sponsorships. What would happen if we took that a little further and asay a 100 of us put in a minimum £2.50 per week up until say, the end of the season, that would give the club the funds to help pay the wages of the striker and perhaps that elusive central defender. If anyone is interested i have spoken to Keith Lewis and he as treasurer of Misa is willing to make sure the donations gets to the correct place. As a donation it all gets through.

As I have said many times before, lets here your ideas.

I completely agree. There is many jobs that are needing to be done at the club and it is left down to a very small team, some of which are trying to juggle bringing money into the club and run their own full time business. Even if people cant contribute a lot of time, try getting friends and family to sign up to the superdraw, as a well know brand says "Every little counts."
