The Realistic Blue

Recommended Posts

What do you say, its all just a farce, if people told you what had happened to Margate FC in the last 5 or 6 years they wouldnt believe it was true, trouble is it IS!. To be honest people have had enough of this shambles and its a disgrace, supporters deserve better than being served up the S##T they having been getting. Cant swear, cant do this cant do that cant say this cant say that Are we in F##king North Korea or what its a joke. No new gound still the same old crap, ground knocked down, having to play at Ashford and Dover numerous manager lost count of players. What us supporters need is some respect, without us there wouldnt be a club forum or anything we are the heartbeat of the club and some people seem to forget it. Ive watched them for the last 29 years and like loads and loads of supporters have just had enough of it, and i know loads of people have the same opinion as me look at the attendances a joke, wonder why. I respect all fans and the ones still going so many people do a lot of hard work there, its so sad not like the old days loads of banter laughs SWEARING!! lol the drinks the away travel and its all gone in a flash its very sad.

How much longer can this continue the gates will be under 150 soon, comparing to Thanet Utd days, and at least the us supporters got respect, at least we knew that.

Enough said very sad times bring back the old days when even when we lost we felt wanted at the club! :frown:

What RB is saying is pretty much spot on 5-6 yrs of promises and still waiting . We have gone from being a top flight Conferance club who were partime to a club yep just a club in what you could say is a short period of time in footballing terms . Its like Liverpool or Man utd playing League 2 footy now but winning the champions league 5 yrs ago . We can only get good players in at MFC if we are achiving things or showing ambition like Dartford or Dover then we will get more interest from companies but who will get involved with MFC while we are digging ourselves into an early grave , NO ONE WILL . We need help and we need some backing , help right now .

Up the Gate .

To be fair we were above our natural level in the Conference. Even more so these days with all the ex-League clubs in it. Conference South is a more realistic level to aim for.

A better comparison is Charlton - once punching above their weight in the Premier League but have had some bad seasons since (though, of course, they are doing well this season).

We may have been above our natural level but we were there based on commitment and honesty and loyalty from all sides of MFC , right though the ranks then we had to give all that up because someone knocked our ground down . The rest is history as we know and out of those last 6 yrs we have only been relegated because of off field problems not on , maybe last season should have been football related but the rest of the relegations were nothing to do with the players .

We were all happy and everyone loved what was going on then when we were the best non league club in the country yes the whole country , i would strive to get us back to those days if i could but i can`t but if it was so dame good why don`t the people that are involved in the club try and get us back there . Lets all be happy again one big happy family = success in all areas .

Sign of the times, look at football generally how many clubs have been to court this season alone, every day we read about Football League clubs fighting against bankruptcy, we are no different, in fact I do not believe the conference was too high for us, the gates were good, but I do agree the decision to demolish the ground was the beginning of our downfall. Groundsharing by any club only leads to disaster particularly when there are no long term plans in place, someone deserves criticism at least, for that almighty blunder and yes perhaps someone should now die on thier sword. Things cant get much worse now so perhaps we should at least consider root and branch changes. But for now I will still continue to support the team as they need it perhaps even more than we do.
