Personally I think that with all the games we still have to play, we need every player we have (ressies included) to be fit and available to get us out of the league mire we are currently in. Don't particularly fancy Div. 1 football next season.

Forget the league cup, concentrate on our bread and butter!

That's one argument.

 

Another could be that Brian and Barry should play the first team. The more competitive games they watch the first team play, the more chance they have of diagnosing our problems.

 

I reckon we should be trying to win all the cups anyway. It's another great footballing cliche, but winning things can become a habit.

If our re-instatement is confirmed I want to finish this season at least one league position above the relegation spots, & having made the League Cup final. That's more than enough ambition for me at the moment!

 

If we can exceed that by winning some silver-ware, or reaching the dizzy heights of mid table obscurity I'd be well chuffed.

Winning a few league games on the trot would be good at the moment.

It's getting scary down this end of the table now.

It's good news about the cup but i can see where Steve U is coming from.

Lets just concentrate on the league and get us out of this mess.

As for Finisterre comments re "more games Barry & Brian watch the more chance they have of diagnosing the problems". Well after watching the debacle and hearing them from the touchline on Monday I think they would struggle to disagnose a flat tyre on their car to be honest. More games wont help their management career at Billericay it will just drive more of us fans insane with boredom!

If after 47 games since their appointment they still can't get the team playing to their potential, I can't see how squeezing in a fluked bye to the next round is going to improve the teams performance. Let's just get on with the league.

On the positive front, we could be back in with a chance to win some silverware...ah hem!!!

 

On the negative front...er well...competing in (and er....winning ) a cup game does not help our league position...

 

As for using the game to diagnose our problems...one would imagine that there is nowt an extra game could do to shed more light on what they know...

We have received the official letter from the Ryman Football League

disqualifying us from progressing to the 4th Round of the Championship

Manager Cup . We were not totally surprised with their decision but we thought them knowing the genuine circumstances they would have

been lenient with the £100 fine that went along with the disqualification.

As I mentioned on the 7th Feb the three substitutes registrations plus another three players registrations were faxed to the League but the League are saying that they received six blank pages they knew had come from Concord Rangers, surely you would have expected that someone from the Leagues office would have contacted us to find out why six blank pages had been received by them. We can now

concentrate on the League and finishing in a play-off position.

The Club would like to congratulate the players who were successful

on the night when they beat Billericay Town 2 - 0 as they did not

deserve to go out of the competition in this manner. _______
