Fantastic performence from the lads, very unlucky not to win tonight, really entertaining game. Also must I add, what a joke of a referee we had running around tonight, absolutely shocking, where do they find them?

Great work rate shown by the lads all night. For the first time all season we played for 90 minutes. Sam Jones probably edges the MOM for me although the entire midfield worked their socks off and dominated. I'd have taken a point beforehand, but we came so close to a winner in the second half - good to see us creating chances.

Hello again everybody, it's been a while since i posted on here, but i thought tonights performance was worthy of a post. lol. Being that this was the first time i had seen the Blues since our first home game of the season I have to say for a team struggling against relegation, that was a very good performance and worth of 3 points, but 1 point certainly isn't bad against a team pushing for the play-offs. Sam Jones for me was the best player on the pitch and i think it is integral that we keep the ball on pitch and play football at all times, like we did for the majority of the match today. When we do play it on the pitch it gives players like Jones to make some superb passes, which we saw today. Taking nothing away from the midfield who (like Porka said) controlled the game. However there was a lack of communication amongst the players, I would also like to see more commitment from the whole team for the entire match. If these can be achieved we don't have anything to worry about. All in all, the players should be pleased with their efforts tonight and take tonights performance and momentum into the remainder of the season.

A mention to the choir, who really gave up their voices tonight to get behind the team. I know i did. Well done lads

Onwards and upwards

I go with all the above.Grand effort for the whole 90 minutes. Now to see this consistently. Just the one down note. That goal of theirs. A short ball played back, all defenders went toward the player receiving the ball & left two players unmarked at the far post. Naive defending. Now, that out of the way a super effort thereafter.

1st half I reckon pretty even.Territorially we probably shaded it 55-45. Efforts on goal,Gate 2 real good efforts cleared off the line & for Wealdstone 4 good chances.(missed the 1st 5 minutes or so so could have been more).

Second half, well, one way traffic, parked in their half for the majority but just didn't seem to find that killer finish..A couple of times we were very unfortunate & we were as mentioned elswhere, very unlucky not to come away with all 3 points.

This sums up the 2nd half correctly & from a Wealdstone supporter might I add on their forum :

"Callum limped off again and Jamie Osbourne was unlucky with a speculative chip from 35 yards that caught the keeper off his line in the last minute but rebounded off the crossbar to safety. Aside from that and a shot from Callum that went off for a throw, we didn't have anything that even remotely troubled the Margate goalie in the second half. He even started to get a bit chatty, asking if anyone had a coat to lend him".

Oh & yes not normally one to criticise a ref but I agree entirely on this occasion, he was shocking. Trying to prove something out there tonight with his decision making but I know not what that was. I'm positive he was making up most of his decisions & even getting them back to front at times too.Woeful ref & I will be sending in a complaint about his handling of the game & his decision making which at times was farcical.

Well done the lads & well done the gaffer on this occasion. Got it right for the full 90 minutes bar the one blip allowing them their goal. Good efforts all round & yes again agreeeing with others that Sam did very well tonight & hopefully he too will be consistent because if he does play like that week-in week-out we have a real serious chance of getting out of the bottoim 4. Same applies to the others who did real good on the night. The "belief" in themselves & the will to win was evident on the night. Now for more of the same & the results will come.

A point well earned & the applause for the players at the end was well earned too.

3 points is better naturally but it dosent always require the full 3 points to be appreciative of all round effort for the full 90 minutes Last night was one such night.

The attendance of 310 (Isthmian official) was a superb effort taking into consideration Saturdays 2nd half shambles & well done to those that got themselves there. Finally, yes, well done the choir.

WELL DONE Much much better!

Agree with all the above, Sam Jones was superb, where was this greediness talked about by the Red side, he was spraying passes all night and just ghosted past players. Stubbsy too played his usual game and surely at the moment must be a contender for Player of the year along with Aaron Lacey who also was his usual solid self. Luke too did well at the back I thought and was very unlucky to see a far post header cleared of the line. Well done lads all round.

As for the choir, absolutely superb all game, well done lads.

Great performance, by far the better team and deserved all three points. One lapse of concentration at the back cost us dear. We seem to be getting punished for virtually every mistake we make at the moment. Wealdstone were hanging on for much of the second half, and were clearly happy to escape with a point (as shown by their keeper's time-wasting antics towards the end).

Jones was a class act, but it really was an all-round solid team performance. Shows that we are not far off being a comfortably mid-table team; if we can just hang in there and scrap for survival this season, I'm sure we'll be a very competent team at this level next year.

As has been mentioned elsewhere: the ref was truly appalling.

Nonetheless, well done lads... let's carry this into Saturday and try and pick up a point in Essex.
