Actually, even though it wasn't a classic by any stretch of the imagination, I thought we had the better of it at Aveley and only for want of a striker did we not get a goal. On balance, we had the better chances and okay, our distribution was poor at times, so was theirs. One mistake, they scored...which left us chasing the game. If we had scored, it would've been a different game but because of the system which was played for most of the match (because we didn't have the striker to support Baker), we huffed and puffed and lost the game....

 

Then again, there are other questions that could be asked and comments which can be made and others have made them but the difference between the two teams on Monday was not that we played like sh*t (fair enough, we didn't play well) but that there wasn't much between either teams, which, I know is relative but is also quite sad....

 

Still, onwards we plough......
